In celebration of the superstar moms that make up their online community of nearly one million, Grocery Coupon Network will launch “Mom of the Month” in conjunction with the upcoming Mother’s Day holiday.
From May 2 to May 6, 2011, U.S. moms will have the opportunity to win a $250 grocery shopping spree compliments of Grocery Coupon Network.
Utilizing their Facebook fan page, which recently surpassed 30k engaged users, and their email database of over 800,000, Grocery Coupon Network will encourage their community to submit one to two hundred word essays on how much they save on a monthly basis using the digital coupons, and how they use the extra money: investment, entertainment, bills, school supplies, etc.
“When I discovered Grocery Coupon Network and began using their coupons I ended up saving $36 the first week and $30 the second week. It’s amazing how a little planning can make such a huge difference,” said Vicky Kuhfahl, a Grocery Coupon Network member. “This campaign will be a great way for moms to share how they save and provide suggestions for re-allocating savings toward other things that wouldn’t have otherwise been possible.”
Submissions that meet the specified criteria will be posted on the campaign micro-site, while also being displayed on Facebook so that other members for the community can vote, comment, like, and share tips with others. From May 7 to May 9, 2011, submissions will be open to voting via the Grocery Coupon Network community. The winning submission will be announced via Facebook and email on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 2pm.
