VTech InnoTab 3 Plus Review & Giveaway

We recently had the opportunity to review he InnoTab 3 Plus, an educational tablet for kids aged 3-9. For this review we were sent a free InnoTab 3 Plus so we could check it out with a hands on experience.

The VTech InnoTab 3 Plus tablet offers access to more than 800 educator-endorsed, age and stage appropriate cartridges, software and apps that can be purchased and downloaded from VTech’s Learning Lodge app store.

Children will also love taking photos using the 180° rotating camera with over 55 special effects and using the video recorder to make movies. They can even import and listen to their own MP3s with the music player.

The tablet is recommended for kids aged 3-9 and comes with  2 GB of onboard memory and a microSD card slot for memory expansion. Additional content may require a microSD memory card (not included). The memory is expandable up to 32GB with micro SD card (sold separately).

In my opinion the tablet is more for the younger crowd. Our kids are 6 and loved checking it out but said that it looked more like it was for younger kids and I would agree. It did seem to run a bit slower compared to other kid tablets which was another thing the kids didn’t like.

I love the aspect of the content being much more educational than what you would normally see. It does include the Learning Lodge software so that you can connect it to a computer to keep track of your child’s learning progress.

The tablet comes with 12 pre-loaded apps. You can purchase and access to more than 650 additional cartridges. You can also get software and apps to download from VTech’s Learning Lodge™.  It also features a rechargeable battery power pack so you don’t need to worry about constantly purchasing batteries. Batteries are expensive so that is a cost that can really add up.

For the price of $59.99 it is a pretty good buy for a first tablet if you have younger children. We had no trouble hooking it up to the computer and getting everything set up with the Learning Lodge™.

I would recommend this product to a younger audience. Our friends were over when we were testing it out and they have a 2 year old that loved it so much she wouldn’t put it down. She had a great time with the songs and playing around with the touch screen.

  1. Thanks for the review. My 7 year old would be probably be way too advanced for this, but I I think it would be perfectly geared for my 3 year old daughter. Thanks for the chance!
