Sunkist Naturals Smoothies & Juices Review

We recently had the opportunity to try out the new Sunkist Naturals, all natural smoothies and juices that are claimed to be the “the closest thing to making fresh smoothies and juices in your own kitchen, only without having to dust off the blender. Sunkist Naturals flavors include Berry Cherry Bountiful, Golden Mango, Strawberry Dream, 100% Valencia Orange, Berry Blue Bountiful, Glorious Greens and Orange Cream.

bottle_glorious_greensI was hoping these would come while my husband wasn’t home, only because I wanted to get my hands on the Strawberry Dream first. I couldn’t wait to try it because I’m a big lover of anything with strawberries and bananas in it and I knew that if he spotted it first, I most likely wouldn’t get any because he’s a big fan of those flavors as well.

Luckily, the package came around 1p.m. while he was still asleep (he works nights) so I was able to get my hands on it first. Don’t worry, I left a little more than half for him to enjoy as well! I was quite impressed with the flavor; it tasted like a fresh strawberry banana smoothie I just made myself. Benefits: good source of potassium and rich in the powerful antioxidant vitamin C to boost your immunity; it also provides natural omega-3’s and dietary fiber.

The Glorious Green flavor consists of apple, kiwi, and pineapple. Each sip also contains some greens, including spirulina, chlorella, green tea extract, spinach, broccoli, wheat grass, barley grass, oat grass, green cabbage, dulse, kale, echinacea, flax seed and citrus bioflavonoids.  I wasn’t sure what to think of this one, the color of the drink is green of course but the aroma smelled pretty good. I’m not really a kiwi or mango person so I was of course expecting the worse. To my suprise it was pretty good. Benefits: bottle_orange_creamPacked with vitamin A, C, K and provides a source of fibre and iron. Definitely a keeper and great for the kiddies.

My 2nd favorite drink in the Sunkist Naturals selection is the Orange Cream. Orange juice with some bottle_berry_cherry_bountifulwhipped vanilla. Yum! Do you remember those popsicles that were called Orange Dream (or something like that) with the yummy orange coating and vanilla filling?… that’s similar to what the Orange Cream tastes like only with a very slight hint of orange juice. Benefits: provides 11 grams of complete muscle building protein per serving, and is rich in iron and immune system fortifying vitamin C.

I’m really impressed with these smoothies and also with the packaging, very colorful and attractive. I defintely can’t wait to try out the rest and will have to look for these the next time we head out to the store. A lot of times I forget to eat breakfast because I’m taking care of everyone else, so these will be handy for me, especially in the mornings. Not that these can replace breakfast but it will sure help in getting me those nutrients when I do, and the smoothies are so good you don’t realize you’re drinking “healthy” stuff.
