As a new mom it can be hard to find the time and energy to exercise. As you head outside with your baby you can try a few of these stroller exercises to help you get that baby weight off a little more quickly.
Interested in at work exercises?
Walking is of course a no brainer but certainly worth a mention because just by walking with your child in the stroller you can get a great cardiovascular workout. Simply walk, working up to a brisk pace, for a good workout or change it up and after a few minutes of walking and start jogging for another 5-10 minutes. You can mix it up by alternating between walking/jogging while changing your speed.
Squats are simple exercises you can do in between your stops or simply do to change up your routine of walking/jogging. To do the squats stand behind stroller with your arms shoulder or hip length apart on the handle bar and squat as if you were going to sit on a chair. As you come back up squeeze your thighs and buttocks to work those areas. Be careful not to put too much strain on your knees or weight on the stroller causing it to tip.
Standing Ab Crunch
With the stroller to your side (start with your left side facing the stroller), use your left hand to push the stroller away from you while reaching over your head with your right hand. Pull the stroller back towards you, using your abs to do so. Do a few repetitions this way then switch sides.
Finding a great stroller can also help with your exercise experience. Though jogging strollers are great in helping with your jogging exercises any stroller will do.
Always remember safety first. Be aware of your environment around you and never get too far from your little one or the stroller. Be sure to talk with your physician before starting any kind of exercise program.
