Sodastream Home Soda Maker Review

selected-fountainjetsI was so excited to try out this Soda Maker from SodaStream, I wasmomfusemusthave jumping for joy when it came in the mail (well when the UPS/FedEx driver came). My husband drinks a ton of soda, Coke especially, and if you’ve seen the price for a 24 pk, you know how expensive it can get. If the Sodastream machine worked as promised, we would hit gold and save a ton of money, and I mean a ton of money!

The Sodastream Soda Maker helps you create your own soda, diet soda and sparkling water at home. There was little setup involved, you just take it out of the box, put the CO2 cylindar in the back and away you go!

We chilled the water as instructed (it’s much better if you follow the instructions, on our first try we didn’t chill the water and you can tell a difference!), then used the Sodastream to carbonate it and added the flavor we chose first. We let it set for a few minutes and then decided to try out our freshly made soda. We tried three different flavors and of course my husband was on “comparison” duty so as he tried out the sodas and then had to tell me if they tasted like the name brand stuff or not before I had my taste. The only one that didn’t taste like the name brand stuff was the actual cola flavor, we both thought it tasted like Diet Rite, but it was still very good. My favorite is the Root Beer while my husband’s favorite is the Ginger Ale.

With the Sodastream machine you can make your very own sparkling water, juice, fruit or any of our 25+ flavors they offer mixes for. None of which contain high-fructose corn syrup.

Overall: This is definitely a must-have for any family, especially if you are soda drinkers. Sodastream will save you a ton of money and the drinks are really good. Highly, highly recommended!

Not only will this save you money (it will I promise!) but it’s a great way to “go green”. Just think of how good you’ll be treating the Earth when you no longer dispose of those aluminum cans and plastic.
