Cancer is a terrible thing, it’s affected my family and I’m sure you or someone you know has been affected by it too. I recently had my own cancer scare, everything so far has turned out to be ok, thankfully, but in the midst of them trying to find out what’s going on with my body that nasty word is still in the back of my mind. It’s a very terrifying thing and something I hope my family doesn’t have to worry about, but it’s opened our eyes to a lot of things and supporting the American Cancer Society is something I’ve been getting more involved in. I do need to mention this post is sponsored by the ACS, but if it weren’t I’d still be supporting their cause.
I would like to invite you to join the world’s biggest fight for less cancer and more birthdays, the American Cancer Society Relay For Life®. Any generous donation helps them save lives by helping people stay well and get well (yes, even if it’s a $1 donation), by finding cures and fighting back against cancer.
Please, Please, Please donate to the American Cancer Society, The Official Sponsor of Birthdays™ and help create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
Why We Fight For More Birthdays
We believe every birthday you celebrate is a victory. Another year that cancer has not prevailed. Your birthday means everything to us. That’s why we’re dedicated to creating a world with less cancer and more birthdays. Thanks in part to our work, 11 million cancer survivors will celebrate another birthday this year. But we can’t stop there. With your help, we can create a world with even more celebrations, more laughter, and more birthdays for all. Join us.
The American Cancer Society combines an unyielding passion with nearly a century of experience to save lives and end suffering from cancer. As a global grassroots force of more than three million volunteers, we fight for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. We save lives by helping people stay well by preventing cancer or finding it early; helping people get well by being there for them during and after a cancer diagnosis; by finding cures through investment in groundbreaking discovery; and by fighting back by rallying lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and by rallying communities worldwide to join the fight. As the nation’s largest non-governmental investor in cancer research, contributing more than $3.5 billion, we turn what we know about cancer into what we do. To learn more about us or to get help, call us anytime, day or night, at 1-800-227-2345 or visit cancer.org.
