Have I mentioned lately how much I love Purex? I’m always doing laundry and it took us a little while to find the right laundry detergent. I was so glad when I found Purex because it doesn’t only do a great job with getting our clothes clean, it also makes them smell wonderful. (Yes, I sometimes secretly do laundry just to smell the awesome fragrance! lol)
Well Purex has launched a new product called Purex Complete with Zout and we were recently sent a bottle to review. Psst.. if you’d like to try out Purex Complete with Zout yourself head on over to FreeSamplePurex.com to snag you a sample to try out for yourself. If you’ve never tried Purex.. I definitely recommend getting a the free sample, not only because it’s a great detergent but it’s also considerably cheaper than the others and that alone is a big money saver in our house.
Purex with Zout combines the cleaning power of traditional Purex with the triple-enzyme stain fighting power of Zout stain remover. Purex Complete with Zout contains three powerful stain-fighting enzymes:
- Protease: Works against protein based stains like grass and blood.
- Amylase: Works against starchy stains like chocolate and tomato sauce.
- Mannanase: Works against guar which is used as a thickener in many foods like ice cream, barbecue sauce and salad dressing because it’s super sticky. That means it really sticks to fabrics too which makes it harder to remove.
You can use Purex Complete with Zout as a pre-treater and as a detergent which is really cool. To use as a pre-treater just pour some directly onto the stain, rub it in and let it set for about 5 min before putting it into the washer. Two scents are available: Fresh Morning Burst and Free & Clear. We were sent the Fresh Morning burst and it smells wonderful! I will definitely have to check out the Free & Clean as well because I’m interested to see how it smells.
It did well with stains. We had spaghetti one night and of course spaghetti seams to go everywhere but the kids’ mouths so we did have a few pieces to test the new detergent out with. I did the pre-treatment and 5 short minutes later put it into the washer hoping that miracles would happen! They did! The clothes came out stain free and on to the dryer they went.
