As the kids get older and school gets a little harder for some children I always want to remind them that they are special and that I love them. Last year we started a tradition of putting notes in their lunch boxes with little sayings that said “We love you!”, “You Rock” or even some little personal things that they would remember from the night before. They would always come home and tell us about the notes they received and we’d get a big hug.
This year we will continue the tradition because it worked out so great for them and kept up their spirits, especially if they were having a rough day. This year I think maybe we will do some pick me up napkins and see how those go.
We were recently sent some neat napkins for school lunches, these are called PICKmeUp napkins. PICKmeUp napkins are reusable napkins which means the kids can bring them home from school, you wash them and later on in the week or month you can use them again. Each napkin has a positive message printed on it and are 100% cotton.
I have to say, I love these napkins! You can tell by feeling them that they are heavy duty napkins and super soft. When I first opened the package I thought they looked like plain napkins with designs on them but after further investigation they are much better in quality than that!
The napkins are so bright and cheerful the kids will love them! They will love all the designs and reading the messages. I did some tugging on these to be sure they would be durable and I have to say that they are durable. There were no rips or tears so they stood up great. I just hope the kids remember not to through them away after they are done!!
I do have a couple of concerns.. my first concern would be how easily they stain. I don’t want to have to buy new napkins after one use so I will be keeping my eye out on that. The second would be if the colors will stay as vibrant as they are now after a few washes. I guess that wouldn’t be such a big deal but I’m hoping they keep their colors.
After some use if anything changes, I will certainly keep you updated on how it goes and whether or not stains or losing the color is an issue.
