Motherhood Changes Everything

Motherhood is hard, challenging, and very demanding. From the moment you conceive your child, your life is forever altered. Some think that after giving birth they can get back to their previous lifestyle, but unfortunately, that is not the case.

After the baby is born, to ensure its health and protection, you should breastfeed it. Milk formula does not give the same level of protection that your milk can provide for the newborn. And then of course, the child would crave for your attention. Whenever it cries, it expects its mother to be by its side. You will also be the one to change its diapers, feed it, and sing it to sleep.

You might be thinking that you can get someone else to do these things for you. Yes, you can do that and return to work if you must, but think about how that will impact your relationship with your child. Those early years of its life spent away from you will make it not that close to you. Most mothers fret about this, which is why they wouldn’t give up caring for their child personally in exchange for
anything else.

At some point in between feeding the baby and bathing it, you may catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror and ask what has happened to you. Because of pregnancy you have probably gained some weight, and unless you are lucky to have no problems getting back to your size before pregnancy, you need to work hard. But how do you do that when your hands are full? Will you even have enough time to hit the gym to get rid of the loose skin on your tummy area?

Being a mother doesn’t mean that you stop caring for yourself. You still need to make sure that you are healthy and that you get enough sleep and the right kinds of food. Instead of settling for canned goods and takeouts, make sure that you eat fresh fruits and vegetables. It’s just like an extended pregnancy diet–while your baby is in your womb, you are providing the nutrients for your body as well as the unborn child. After pregnancy, especially during breastfeeding, you are still providing nutrients for your baby in the form of milk, so make sure that it is loaded with nutrients from the foods you eat.

If you are yearning to remove the excess weight you gained during pregnancy, you could try some natural products such as virgin coconut oil. There are some studies saying that this product helps you lose weight by boosting your metabolism. It is also safe to use for pregnant or lactating women just like you, do there are no worries. While your baby is growing up, you can regain the body you once had without having to overwork yourself. Now you can have more time caring for your child while you are improving your own health. With the small addition of coconut oil in your diet, you will surely have no problems wearing your pre-pregnancy clothes once again.
