Mighty Leaf Tea Review and Giveaway (ended)

I love tea. I like both cold and hot tea so when I had the opportunity to review Mighty Leaf Tea I was excited to try a new brand to see how I would like it.

About Mighty Leaf Tea

Featuring hand-blended, whole-leaf tea leaves, luscious fruits and aromatic herbs in the industry’s original eco-friendly tea pouch, a half-gallon of gourmet Mighty Leaf Iced Tea can be freshly-brewed and savored in less than five minutes. The flavors include:

  • Sunburst Green Iced Tea:  A cool and vibrant fresh brewed iced green tea, it delivers the crisp taste of sun ripened oranges and sweet citrus that brighten mountain-grown Chinese green tea leaves. The lowest in caffeine among all four flavors.Ginger Peach Iced Tea:  A blissful and lightly sweet fresh-brewed iced tea, this black leaf tea is infused with sun-swelled peaches and delicate ginger.
  • Calypso Mango Iced Tea:  A sweet and cooling fresh-brewed iced tea with an indulging blend of luscious mango and tropical fruit that drench South Indian black tea leaves.
  • Organic Black Iced Tea:  Made of refreshingly rich and smooth South Indian organic black tea leaves that are hand-picked on the dewy slopes of the Nilgiri mountains, these vibrant organic tea leaves unleash a fresh iced tea with dark amber hue.

The Review

My favorite thing to do when it’s so hot outside (it’s been in the low 100’s this past week) is have a nice cold glass of iced tea.  I’m not a fan of peach tea or lemon tea so I started with the Calypso Mango just to see if it was going to be too tropical for me. While it does taste a bit fruity/tropical, it’s not overpowering. The Sunburst Green Iced Tea was good too.. these two are probably my top picks. My husband on the other hand is more of a peach tea and black tea drinker so he tried those out for me. He said the Peach Iced Tea was outstanding while the Organic Black Iced Tea was ok.. not something he’d drink a lot of but if you’re a big fan of black tea you’d definitely like this one.

One of my favorite things about the tea is the nice long thick string that comes with each pouch. I hate it when I have to fish around to get the tea bags out of the pitcher because the string has broke or it’s so short the entire bag just falls into the pitcher once the bag gets wet.

  1. Disappointing flavour, poor quality.
This is not even manufactured in the USA. It comes out of North Africa near Libya and is made using slave labour.
Will put my $$ towards a true American produced product instead thank you.
