We recently had the chance to review the Deluxe Wire Puzzle Rack, Painted Wood Puzzle Case, Tools Chunky Puzzle and the Jumbo Numbers Chunky Puzzle from Melissa & Doug.
I absolutely love these puzzles and think they are great for the twins. Our daughter of course went for the Jumbo Numbers puzzle and still hasn’t quit playing with it. She’s also into learning the numbers like my son so they have a ton of fun when we play “Where’s number so-and-s0 go?”. It gets a little trickier for them when they try to find the right spot for the double numbered pieces but we’re getting there, it’s also been fun to use the numbered puzzle pieces to help them learn to count.. so far we’re up to three!
My son quickly took to the Chunky Tools puzzle and has a lot of fun playing with dad and figuring out where the tool pieces go.
The one thing that can be a pain in the butt with these puzzles is of course when the puzzle pieces get strung out around the house which is why I super excited that we were also sent the puzzle rack and painted puzzle case to review. Now when the kids are done with the their puzzles we have them put the puzzles in their own spot so that we can easily keep track of them.
Of course with twins each had to claim their very own case so my son chose the painted case while my daughter wanted the puzzle rack.
My husband and I decided that for Christmas we were going to get more of the Melissa and Doug puzzles since the kids enjoy them so much. There isn’t a day that goes by that the twins don’t play with them and they have been a great contributor to their learning so in our eyes they are definitely a great purchase.
