Back in March we were able to do a review on a new kids toy – the Mini Kickboard Scooter for toddlers ages 2-4. This time we’re doing a review and giveaway for the new Maxi Kickboard Scooter! KickboardUSA.com has even offered you, our lovely readers, an awesome 20% discount on any order from KickBoardUSA.com. Use coupon code: MOMFUSE
The Maxi Kickboard Scooter is the “big sibling” to the Mini Kickboard Scooter with the same simple (lean-and-steer) maneuvering and flexible footboard for control and stability BUT … with its funky joystick handle, the Maxi Kick Scooter is a little cooler, tougher and edgier. Made for kids ages 6-10, the Maxi Kick Scooter comes in purple (great for girls!) or black. Not only is it easy and fun to ride (like “surfing” the pavement), but it’s a great way for kids to “go green” and scoot to school when they can forego traditional 4-wheel car transport for the 3-wheel scooters.
*Also a great gift item for the upcoming holidays that will be here before you know it! Don’t forget to order now to receive a 20% discount on any order from KickBoardUSA.com, Use coupon code: MOMFUSE!
Since our twins are little young for this product we had a friend’s 8 year old boy try out the scooter to see how he liked it while we took notes on his approvals and disapprovals. He and his friends have other scooters and every time I see them (daily) they’re on them riding around, so I thought he would be the perfect subject to test out this scooter.
First off, the assembly was snap, extremely easy and I was able to put it together quickly (just snap the handle into the base of the scooter). The design is solid and the scooter itself is very sturdy (my husband tested this part out for us).
Everyone, including the boy and his friends went crazy over this thing once he started riding it. They were all buzzing around on the scooter and kept saying “I want one of these for Christmas!”, so it was definitely a big hit. The other boys’ scooters weren’t as cool as the new Maxi Kick Scooter and after watching them race their scooters, the Maxi beat them every time hands down.
Like on the Mini, the guard over the back two wheels can be pressed down with your back foot making for a quick, easy stop if needed.
Overall, the Maxi Scooter is a great buy and is extremely fun for kids. They’ll be the coolest kid in town on this nifty scooter and don’t be surprised if you have at least a few parents asking where you received it!
