Halo has introduced it’s new Halo ComfortLuxe, a smart fabric that’s lightweight and knit to allow fresh air to circulate to keep the skin cool, dry and comfortable, regardless of the time of year.
I’ve talked before about my son’s dry skin and eczema, which gets worse during the winter months so I was excited to see how the new ComfortLuxe sleepwear would do with him. We often have a hard time with some clothes because they make him very itchy and uncomfortable. Check out the great features behind the new ComfortLuxe sleepwear:
It wicks moisture.
ComfortLuxe has unique properties to release moisture from your little one’s skin in exchange for fresh air to help maintain a stable body temperature which in turn helps prevent the onset of triggers (usually heat and perspiration) which cause the itch/scratch cycle to begin among many children who suffer from atopic dermatitis, a common form of eczema. ComfortLuxe fabric helps to manage this trigger, control discomfort and minimize eczema flares to protect your little one’s delicate skin.
This smart fabric also won’t absorb lotions or topical creams on the surface of the skin to help maximize their benefits and promote the healing of skin irritations.
Dries twice as fast as cotton.
ComfortLuxe outperforms cotton, the current standard for children’s sleepwear by releasing moisture to dry twice as fast as cotton.
Thoughtful details to prevent skin irritation.
Designed for little ones with sensitive skin, ComfortLuxe Sleepwear is constructed thoughtfully to help reduce irritations that may trigger the onset of the “itch-scratch” cycle. These details include:
Flat interior seams to reduce abrasion.
Rollover Cuffs to prevent scratching (Coverall and Base Layer)
Recommended for sensitive skin.
With its unique moisture wicking properties ComfortLuxe is the only sleepwear to be awarded the Seal of Acceptance by the National Eczema Association.
ComfortLuxe is chemical free so its unique benefits will never “washout” in the wash.

To test out the sleepwear we decided to try it on one of the nights that we lather our son up with his eczema lotion, a lot of times we have to wait to dress him after putting on the lotion because it gets all of over clothes which seems to make him uncomfortable, witht he ComfortLuxe we put the pajamas on almost immediately after the lotion and he seemed to pay no attention to it, so that was a plus. We watched him pretty carefully to see if he did any itching or started breaking out.. a lot of times with some clothing it will make him break out a little so it was good to see that the ComfortLuxe did not make him itch or break out in any way.
Our only dislike about the ComfortLuxe is that it’s a little tight around the ankles and arms. It didn’t both him enough that he wanted to take it off, but you could tell he didn’t really like the fact it was so close fitting. He kept pulling at his sleeves and when we checked he had enough room so I’m guessing he just wasn’t used to it fitting so well around the arms.
Overall though this was a great item, glad to see there were no breakouts or itching involved. I only wish they offered larger than a 4T because these could come in handy as he gets older.
