Free Country 3-in-1 Systems Jacket Review

I was recently introduced to Free Country, a company that provides outerwear clothing for the entire family. This was my first introduction to Free Country, I had never hear of them before so when they asked us to do a review I was certainly curious to see what their products were like.

freecountry3n1navyWe were sent a Men’s 3-in-1 Systems Jacket, which in text sounded like a coat that would really be an all-in-one, something that would last us all year long here in Illinois, through Winter, Spring and Summer. While I like the look of all of the jackets on the site I thought a 3-in-1 system would be perfect for families as it would be something that would work all year and save some money.

On the 3-in-1 jacket, the outer jacket fabric is water and wind resistant with a brushed fleece lining. There is an inner jacket which is a soft light weight quilt. You can wear the inner and outer jacket together in colder temperatures, or wear either one alone, in milder weather.

There are plenty of pockets to carry your things in, so when you’re out and about or playing in the snow you don’t have to worry about pocket space. The outer jacket has multiple zipper pockets and an inside cell phone storage pocket while the inner jacket has one pocket on the chest and two lower pockets.

Also included is a detachable hood, full zip front storm placket and adjustable storm cuffs to help reduce cold and wind. The jacket is also machine washable so when it gets dirty you can just throw it in the washing machine for an easy clean.

Since we opted for the men’s style I let my husband do the judging. He’s outside more than the rest of us so he could let us know if the jacket was true to it’s description. The first thing he said to me was “Wow, this looks like a really nice coat.” and it does looks very nice, I bet paired with the gloves and hat that match it would make for a very sharp looking outfit. He was very impressed with the quality and versatility of this jacket. It’s March and here in Illinois we are still getting snow here and there so he was able to test it outside as well. The jacket stood up to the cold, rain an snow mix we had with no problems, my husband stayed both dry and warm.  So he loves the jacket, his only wish was that they made a camouflage style one for his hunting needs.

Free Country offers a nice selection of outdoor wear for Men, Women, Boys and Girls including lightweight jackets, 3-in-1- system jackets, snow pants, hats, gloves and just about everything else you could use to brave those outdoor elements.
