#spon: I’m required to disclose a relationship between my blog and Crock-Pot® Cuisine. This could include Crock-Pot® Cuisine providing me with content, product, access or other forms of payment.
There’s nothing I dread more than having a busy day and then having to slave over the stove for an hour to get dinner on the table. Between the kids having school, school events, family events, sports, various lessons, etc. some nights we usually don’t get home until at least 7 and by then it’s too late to spend an hour on cooking dinner since the kids go to bed around 8 p.m.
On days like that it’s usually my crock pot that comes to the rescue so I was beyond excited with Crock-Pot® approached me to work with them to spread the word on just how easy and delicious their Crock-Pot® Cuisine selection could be. I was able to choose 4 meals from the Crock-Pot® Cuisine Website – I chose Savory Beef with Stragnoff Sauce, Beef Lasagna, Rustic Beef Stew, and Creole Style Andouille Sausage and Chicken.

Now usually my family doesn’t go for those store bought prepared meals. Most that we have tried are too bland right out of the box and sometimes it can take a little bit of trial and error to get those tasting good. Needless to say I didn’t expect my husband or kids to go for these Crock-Pot® Cuisines but I am always willing to try.
So last Friday the kids got out of school around noon.. on days like these I wouldn’t normally make plans unless I knew I was going to be home by 3 or 4 p.m. to get dinner going, depending on what I planned on cooking. But last Friday I decided to give one of these Crock-Pot® Cuisine dinners a try so we can have some good quality time together as a family.
It was so easy to go from freezer to crock pot, it literally only took a few minutes and the directions were super easy to follow. Each individual package inside the box is labeled with a package number and on the directions it will tell you when to add the packages, for example it will say add package 1 to your crock pot and place package 2 in the fridge for later. It will vary depending on what dish your making and whether you are cooking it for 4 hours or 8 hours (directions for both are listed).
Since we started our adventure around 1 p.m., I decided to go with the 4 hour setting and with the Crock-Pot® we were provided it has a great warming option. Once you choose your cook time setting (4, 6, 8, or 10 hours), after it’s finished cooking it will automatically switch to the warm setting which will keep your food nice and warm for however long you need it to. Awesome!
Since I knew I could set it and forget it we headed out with our bikes and visited some family friends and then headed to the park. The kids had a great time! They enjoyed every minute of it and I was so happy to see them happy and it was great to know that dinner was set and we could spend lots of quality time with the kids.
When we got home around 5 p.m. it was time to finish up dinner so we could eat. I added the 2nd bag like the instructions told me to and we were ready to eat. Everyone enjoyed it! My husband, the non-frozen meal eater, actually went it for seconds! Unfortunately, I do have one disappointment with these.. there is definitely not enough to feed four people. I would recommend purchasing two boxes of the meal you want to enjoy because we definitely didn’t have enough to fill us up. But it was definitely delicious and I can’t wait to try the others!
Tonight’s dinner will be the Creole Style Andouille Sausage and Chicken!
