Wow! I can’t believe September is here already! It seems like this year is just flying right past me. With the kids starting Kindergarten, K in girl scouts and activities with C, time just really flies by anymore. It didn’t hit me until after the first few weeks of school how fast everything is really going. The year is almost coming to an end and I don’t know where the time went and now that we are even busier with school and after school activities it really made me think that we need to go back to having a family fun night each week to spend some quality time with each other.
So every Friday night now is our family fun night where we shut off the television and put away all electronics (unless we choose to watch a movie that night) and just have fun. After dinner we enjoy ice cream, play board games, spend the evening outside or do other fun things the kids will enjoy as we talk, catch up and spend some fun time together. Do you have a family fun night each week? What do you do during those nights?
Since we are talking about back to school, I wanted to share with you a new Bookworm Recipe that Clare has shared over on Breyer’s website.
Isn’t it cute?! I think it’s adorable and it’s super easy too so we will definitely have to try this one. In July we showcased some great family fun tips from Clare to help you make the most out of family time this season. And last month we shared some fun ice cream recipes that kids will be sure to enjoy!
Also, don’t forget! Families nationwide will still have a chance to get involved through our Delicious Moments Facebook contest. From June 10 through September 23, fans are invited to share their delicious moments of family togetherness at Facebook.com/Breyers for a chance to win exciting prizes and each week one photo will be chosen and posted to their wall.
