Last year I admitted to you that I was a gamer.. yes a girl [mom] gamer when we had the chance to review a game from Big Fish Games, which was created in 2002 and has since become the world’s largest producer of casual games for the PC. While I still play a few casual PC games I mostly play on a console (I rock Battlefield 3 pretty well) or mobile games.
As a fan of Big Fish Games and mobile games this is exciting news for those who play games on their phones or tablets. We recently got some Android tablets and I love that they offer Android games.. we use them a lot to play some learning and fun games with the kids. Fir this review, we let the kids help us choose a game that they can plan for just a little bit after they get out of school and as long as they got a green star for the day. (Their school does this star system to let us parents know if they were behaved that day or not.. purple=excellent, green=great, yellow=had an okay day, and red which means they did not have a good day at all.
The game that was chosen by both was an Android game called Fisher’s Family Farm. A game that allows you to farm fish from all over the world.
Farm fish from all around the world, and help keep Fishers Family Farm afloat, in this fast-paced Time Management game! Help Marissa Fisher feed her fishy friends as they produce delicious goods that you can sell. Collect fantastic upgrades to protect your ponds from pesky predators and meet your goals to advance to the next farm. Keep the Fishers Family Farm alive and become a hero to Marissas mom and dad!
This game to me was similar to the Farm Frenzy games but deals with fish instead of farm animals. While the kids weren’t quite old enough to understand the story or really what to do they had some great fun trying to play it. They would often ask me for help with a level. Once in a while these games are fun and they have replay value, you can always go back to the levels and try to get the gold stars on each level.
Others who reviewed it on the Big Fish Games website gave it 4.7 out of 5 stars with similar reviews that the game was fun, graphics were good and that there was a lot of content. All in all this game gets a good rating from our family as well. We enjoyed trying out the game and can’t wait to see what they come out with as far as the mobile game selection.
