A Healthy Happy Lifestyle with Small Wins


I wish I knew how important it was to live a healthy lifestyle when I was younger. As a child I was never taught this, as a mom I’m trying to teach my children to make more healthy choices as they grow up. I’m not a fitness Nazi or anything like that I just like to make sure we have more fruits and veggies on hand than we do junk food.

To me small wins are important and a must. Smalls wins to me are finding the time to take a walk or to eat an orange instead of a candy bar when I’m feeling snacky.

One of the things I think is most important is that as a family we have a healthy breakfast before we start our day. There’s no way I would be able to get up early enough to fix a large breakfast but something healthy in the morning to get us going is very important to me. Oatmeal is a favorite in our house, we all have different ways of fixing it and we can never have enough on hand! To me, getting the family together for healthy breakfast is a great “small win”!
