The SlouchBack: Make Any Surface A Comfortable Couch! Review & Giveaway!

12I know it’s kind of late for the back to school season items, but the SlouchBack is something any college could use at any time. Students, especially those in dorm rooms, have a hard time finding space which is why the SlouchBack is the perfect solution.

With the simple flip of a switch, your bed becomes a relaxing couch. Using a built-in high-velocity air pump, the SlouchBack inflates and transforms your dorm bed into a comfortable couch in just 30 seconds. Switch to deflate mode, and the unit will store in the space between the bed and the wall, ready for instant use. (Video showing easy set up below)

Not only is this great for students.. my husband quite enjoyed it as well. He’s a gamer and plays a lot of video games. They way our room is set up it’s not very comfortable when you’re playing. I thought about getting him one of those fancy chairs but then that would just take up more space and we don’t have a lot of that already. Anyways, once we received the SlouchBack he hasn’t stopped using it yet.

If he feels like sitting on the bed while he’s playing his Xbox 360 then inflates the SlouchBack, sets it on the bed and it’s like he’s sitting on a comfortable couch.. if he decides he wants to mix it up a bit and sit on the floor.. he inflates it and them props it up against the bed.

The material is kind of like those air mattresses you sleep on when you’re camping or whatever.. the SlouchBack also includes armrests on each side and cup holders! I think the cupholders were my husbands favorite part.. he was super excited that he could just set it drink in the cupholder and not have to find a place to set it or reach for it while he’s playing.

If you’re worried about how sturdy or reliable the SlouchBack is.. no fears! I was worried at first because I thought it could easily  be popped or get a hole in it.. but our 88 lb dog managed to step on it a few times and nothing happened. I was afraid she had popped it but there were no puncture holes of any kind from her paws.

Our twins also love it. They love to sit next to daddy while he’s playing his games.. they don’t sit still long but they have blast playing around on it.

The SlouchBack is available in many different colors.. red, tan, black, dark brown, blue and pink so no matter what your color style is.. you’re good to go.

I can think of many uses for one of these. First, I would use it to watch TV while in bed… something that we’ll have to do more of soon. I would use it to watch movies outside on the projector, something we do once in a great while because lawn chairs become uncomfortable after a few hours. It would also be good for kids to play with/on and eventually snuggle up to watch a movie. What a great invention this puppy is. Thanks for the introduction and the contest!

Oh, this is so cool! I would use this a couple of different ways. It would be perfect to use for the boys when we are watching movies together as a family. Our couch just isn’t big enough for all 5 of us, and the 3 of them fight over the beat-up beanbag chair we have. This would also be good to watch TV or read in bed. I’m not comfortable lying down and watching TV or reading because I have a bad back. This is one of the best giveaways I have seen!

I’m really loving this giveaway. I would use this on my bed to lean back on & watch T.V, Play Games (Xbox 360 & Hand held DSi), Knit, Write, Get on the Internet and Read. I am recovering from a broken back so I am in a lot of pain and still healing and I need to lean back on something a lot and pillows go flat so this would be excellent for me…Thanks! =)

If I were so lucky as to win this, I would take it to Vancouver and give it to my daughter! She lives in a funky basement suite that has no living room and she is forever complaining about not having anywhere to sit and relax!

  300. Oh wow this is sweet! How different and unique!! I would absolutely love to have this for my bedroom to rest on when watching tv up there, instead of propping pillows up against that hard headboard!!

  301. mickeyfan says:

I think this would be great when you have a small person who comes to visit grandma…put it on the side of the bed against the wall to keep them from banging into it (we have “floppers” in our family who just can’t lay still) or away from the wall to keep them from falling out of bed.

  302. Cee says:

I love the cup holders! I would probably use this in my daughter’s room. We’re trying to transition her into a toddler bed in her own room, and often we’re resigned to sitting on an edge of her toddler bed, on a bean bag, or on the floor. This would make things much more comfortable!! We have a second spare toddler mattress we could use it with …

  303. Patricia Hill says:

We have a day bed in our family room that this would be ideal for our use.

  304. tamathamc says:

I would use it in my office as that is also where the other tv is & my hubbie tends to try & use the one in the family room, only so much sports I can handle

  305. ron says:

i’d use it on my futon which i use in the living room to lie and watch tv . . . great idea . . .

  306. Mya Brooks says:

I would put this in my oldest son’s room, so he can play video games on his bed without breaking his back!
