We have my daughter trade in points (earned by accomplishing things) for TV and computer time. Maybe I should do the same, by accomplishing exercise time, meal prep and laundry.

Im taking my lunch everyday to work which saves money and I use products that dont get thrown away everyday like reusable plastic containers and water drinking bottle. I also recently started clipping coupons which help out a great deal.
I will be more consiencious about using reusable bags at the grocery store – no more plastic bags!
With the h1n1 epidemic we’ll all be washing our hands at every opportunity.

While I was waiting for an appointment with an ear specialist, I thought I might have Menieres Disease, so I gave up sodium. It was truly horrible for me, as well as my poor family who would try to discretely add salt to all of the tasteless food I was making. The ear guy told me I DIDN”T have Menieres Disease, so the first thing I did was go home and eat everything in the house that had sodium in it! Since then, I’ve reflected on the fact that sodium really is bad for us and I normally eat A LOT more than the recommended daily allowance. So this month, I’m going to try to live within the recommended daily allowance of sodium. So that means that hot dogs are no longer my standard lunch, I’m cutting way back on processed foods, and I will be reading the nutrition labels before I buy chicken (did you know that chicken only has about 49 mg of sodium, but the boneless chicken breasts that go on sale for $1.99 a pound have 200-600mg of sodium per serving?!!).

I’m still trying to wean my family off of disposable items and to start using reusables (napkins, paper towels, etc.) Plus I’m REALLY, REALLY going to try to decrease or totally eliminate eating out. We do way to much of that now and it’s too expensive and too unhealthy also. Thanks.

I’ve stopped over doing the wine this month, I have it maybe once a week rather than a glass or two most days!
This month I plan on reading more to prep for the grad school applications that I submitted this week! It’s been a HUGE week of putting a change down in concrete that I have been dreaming of since 8 years ago when I graduated undergrad. This $100 would certainly help with the wealth of information I need to cram in to my head in preparation for interviews!
I run 15 minutes every morning to stay healthy.
I will be spending one day a week cleaning for an elderly person who needs help. also I will try to be there to help others in need

I cut back on my grocery bill by making sure to finish leftovers instead of just throwing the food away and not buying so much meat.
I bought a faucet water filter- no more bottled water for me!
This month I’d like to finish out by taking my wife out to a lovely dinner!

We signed up for the Mom Fuse newsletter!!
My husband and I have made the constant effort to recycle, as well as become water and energy concious. We have even began to recycle precription bottles, all paper from junk mail, and envelopes. We also donated all of our old towels and sheets to the animal shelter. There is tons more on the list for this month and only a few days left. I hope we can get them all done.
I am already a member of the Common Sense Community.
I had my first cataract surgery earlier this week–that has already improved my vision, although it is a little disconcerting that my glasses actually make my vision a little worse (have to wear them for protection, and of course haven’t had a chance to adjust the prescription in that lens).
I am making a good portion of our Christmas gifts. We are also putting the plastic around the windows to keep the heat in.

This month I am focusing on trying to be more focused while working from home! There are so many distractions when you work from home, as some of you may know:) I am doing things like closing my email, not answering the phone (or texts), setting a timer and so on.
I play on cleaning out all my closets and donating all our old clothes

I just learned that you can recycle your cosmetic bottles/jars/tubes at any Origins store or Origins counter…so I’m going to save my empties and recycle them!

I’m getting rid of things in my house that I haven’t used in a while or do not want. We’re having a garage sale next month. I’m ready to start an uncluttered life!
The change I plan to make for the better this month is to get organized. I have already tried a bit of this and it has helped me feel in control and less stressed to the point that I know when I get totally organized, my life will be so much better, and also, the people’s lives with whom I come in contact with.
This month I plan on smiling to strangers more often. I’ve found that a smile can be just the ticket to help brighten someone elses day.
I’m cooking more and going to the restaurants less.
I am trying every day to eat better. And I want to do the Couch To 5K thing also.
I will “think” less and “Thank” more.
In these hard times the changes I’m trying to make this month would be to condition myself to be more thankful for the things I do have and try and help others more that may not have as much. Stop thinking about the things I don’t have and stressing myself out.
I will swim 5 days a week for at least 30 minutes each time to lose weight and get in better shape.

I will spend more quality time with my two teenage children to really sit down and listen to how they feel and what their opinions are just what is going on in their everyday life instead of alwayy being in a hurry. I will make it a point to make a kind gesture to a stranger everyday and to just be thankful for what I have instead of what I do not have.

My husband and I are trying to take lots of little steps in several areas. We walk a mile together each morning. We try to remember to take our own bags when we shop. We are “decluttering” and are making sure that we give all useable items to charity, recycle anything we can, etc. We are eating healthy…I gave up sweets; my husband has two per week. We are trying to simplify our lives.

I have already made huge changes this year by cutting up all of my credit cards, only using cash, trading in my vehicle for one we can afford to pay cash for, clipping coupons & loading coupons on Kroger card, shopping garage sales for kids clothes. Next I want to clean the house more… lol

we try to only use credit cards when necessary and my hubby has a good chuck of savings taken out of his check each week that we never have touched yet but it will be there when that emergency arises.i also save tons of money with grocery coupons as my store doubles them and i usually cut my bill by more than half.another little tip is that you can purchase grocery coupons on ebay usually a lot of 100 for around 2 bucks.i love doing that
we just gave all the clothes my son outgrew to his friend from school who they will fit great.i just like to make sure that what we cant use we give to someone that can 
we are organizing and getting rid of what we dont need and in a sense downsizing our home. We plan on moving to a smaller place and want to save on space, bills and everything else

We’re going to be putting in a new tile floor this month! So, that’s definitely a change for the better in our house as our floor is very old. The new one will be much more hygienic!
This month we’re going healthy by increasing our intake of fruits and veggies to six servings a day. My kids have taken a 5 day challenge to track their progress and hubby has gotten serious and already lost 10 lbs in 3 weeks!
This month as a way of saving money with both food shopping and Christmas Gifts I am making a variety of things from the fresh veggies and fruits from my garden. Garlic and Herb Pickles, Fresh Spaghetti sauce, Relish and Onion Relish.
