Recently I had the chance to review the new Nancy Drew game.. Nancy Drew The Model Mysteries for Nintendo DS.
In the Model Mysteries, you are Nancy Drew and you have been asked to be a bridesmaid in a wedding and your mission is to save the wedding by doing your detective work and some fun mini games. Your friend Sydney who is also a famous model is the one getting married
While this game was kind of fun to play, it’s definitely not as good as the other Nancy Drew games in my opinion. You still have the hidden object puzzles and the mini games.. which are both fun.. but the game itself was just not that interesting to me. I did have one of our friends’ daughter check out the game to see what she thought, she is 14, and really seemed to enjoy the game.
There were a few things that I didn’t like.. the first thing was how the end of the chapters worked. At the end of each chapter you have to choose a suspect for the crime.. if you’re right in choosing you move on to the next level but if your choice is wrong you have to start over and replay the entire chapter.
The other thing I was disappointed with was the lack of “adventure” and the fact that it’s not a very challenging game.
