We purchased a “new” vacuum about 15 years ago with the “hepa” filter – but it must truly not work too well as our filter remains clean and I HAVE to vacuum at least every few days – kids track in so much (of course I NEVER cause any dust or dirt). I also like that they have a separarte looking attachment to go from an upright to a canister – this is a terrific feature. And, although they have terrific warranties, I would never “purchase” one as I would like to understand why a vacuum would have two speeds? Even if one is “slower” than another – I would assume that it still sucks at the great rate of the Oreck reputation – does anyone know?

I, really, would like to have an Orekc vacuum cleaner because it is lightweight and has the suction power needed to deep clean my home. My vacuum isn’t up to par any longer. I think the Oreck is one heck of a machine!! Most impressive in commercial and demonstration. This would be a great gift!! My Husband, myself and our dog, Jethrow, are all burdened with alergies. Jethrow sneezes the most, probably because he is closer to the floor/carpet. This tool would certainly be put to good use, as well as help keeping the kids free from alergies.

I’d like to have an Oreck because of the Hypo-allergenic filtration and that it’s lightweight.
I have a cat in the house fulltime, a part time dog and I live on the edge of a farm field (imagine the dust). I know people who own Oreck’s and between their raves and yours, who wouldn’t want to own one?
They are light weight and powerful and great for allergy sufferers

I need an Oreck because they have a good reputation as a quality product. And who knew they sold stuff like a fabric shaver and a refrigerator deodorizer? If I knew that deodorizer worked better than baking soda, I’d sure buy one.
Being light wieght, and durable and powerful all are great reasons to want one. Biggest reason I can’t afford one right now.

I have one of their Air Purifiers,would love a vacuum.
Being disabled the light weight and ease of using the Oreck will get me vacuuming again. Poor Papa has been having to do it, and bless his soul, he tries, but, you know how some of us can be, “We have to do it so it gets down right.” Also, I did visit the store and found that you can use the canister as a blower to blow leaves off your patio instead of having to sweep…Now that I have got to have! Plus it is a powerful little sucker! And the sents they have you use in the vacuums are so nice. Once you get thouse nasty odors in your vacuum it is almost impossible to get them out! Great giveaway, good luck to all! I love the thought of being able to take the Vacuum in every year for servicing and know a friend that has one that does this and gets it back all tuned up, belt changed, clean and everything. I am so tired of these canister vacuums and trying to empty them out and keep the filters clean. I have to take it outside to empty so dust and dirt does not fly all over the house. With the Oreck, they have self sealing bags that are tough as nails so not a lick of dust gets out when you vacuum or change the bag.

This vacuum couldn’t go to a more deserving family than ours…our former vacuum just broke after buying it new about a year ago! We also have two dogs that shed and me and my toddler both have extreme allergies. And, I am not making this up, I have chronic severe back and neck problems to the point where I am disabled so having a light vacuum cleaner is what I could have used all along! Oh man, oh man would I would love this vacuum. The vacuum I currently have wasn’t designed to handle vacuuming things like dirt, or lint or cat hair or anything else that you’d want cleaned off the floor. It was designed to irritate me by not working worth beans. Sad but true.
For some reason I have acquired a great many friends who are allergic to my cat and since my vacuum pooped out their allergies have been overwhelming them as soon as they try to cross my threshold. So they don’t come over any more.
As if that weren’t enough my little niblet (my daughter for those of you who don’t speak ‘cute’) is ready to crawl but there is no way I’m letting her loose on our carpet.
So to get an Orek vacuum and baby handvac that will help me woo my friends back, let my daughter be free to roam AND make it so I can dust less? That would be awesome with a cherry on top. ^_^

The allergy control sounds like the best thing to me. My family seems to suffer with allergies so anything that can help with that is a winner. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Oreck’s, but have a lot of trouble justifying the up-front cost of getting one.

It sounds like the Oreck could actually stand up to the chinchilla dust I have a ton of in my home. With 6 chinchillas their dust and hay builds up. The Oreck should be able to make my home a healthier and cleaner one!! With that Hypo-allergenic filtration it will help my boyfriend breathe again!

I have always been impressed by how light they appear to be and how easy they are to use. My dad just got one and he says the suction is amazing.
I’ve seen Orecks advertised for years and I’ve never heard a complaint on them. Seeing as how i have no vacuum now, this would be an exceptional win for me. I like how they are simple and to the point.

I love Oreck vacuums– I actually have a hand-me-down vacuum from my mom that she gave me when I got my first apartment 10 years ago and she owned it for 10 years before that. The vacuum is still in PERFECT condition. I haven’t even had it serviced. The bags are still easy to order. I am definitely a loyal Oreck customer and I am looking forward to a bigger and stronger model- I definitely need something with attachments and something stronger for the kitties in my house that love to shed. =)

I love the virtual weightlessness of the Oreck vacuums. I’ve had two neck surgeries and the weight of the vacuum is an issue for me. Wow, what a fabulous giveaway! I would LOVE to have an Oreck because IMO they are the top of the line when it comes to vacuum cleaners. I used to have a small cleaning service and I went through many a vacuums. One of my customers had an Oreck and it was the best vacuum that I have ever used. My favorite thing about it was that it was so lightweight and so easy on the back. The other things I liked was all the attachments and most importantly, it vacuumed very well. I would LOVE an Oreck! I have 3 kids (2 boys) a hubbie who works in helicopter maintenance for the Navy (read- dirt, grease, muck) and a great dane! I am a subscriber. I just love the new Oreck Halo vacuum cleaner. The reason I would love to have an Oreck vacuum cleaner is it is dependable, tough and light weight. Also, let me tell you something about the owner of Oreck, after hurricane Catrina hit he was the only business owner that set up temporarily base and contacted every employee he had working for him there in Lousiana to make sure they were all right, if they needed anything money,shelter,travel arrangements you name it. From that point on I have had nothing but the upmost respect for this man and his wonderful company. You can’t say that about too many companies these days!

I would love to win this Oreck. I actually have a Oreck, an older model that still works great. I honestly can say that this is the best vacumn I have ever owned. Mine is about 6 or 7 years old now I think. I would love to win this one and give mine to my niece.. She has been wanting it for a long time.
One of the best features of the Oreck is the weight.. You would never think something that lightweight would be that powerful it is.. I have a dog, a cat, and 6 daycare kiddos running around my house everyday. The Oreck takes a run thru the house at least 2 times a day. It gets all the dirt. I love it.

The main reason I would love the Oreck Vacuum is that I also have allergies. I also have dogs and cats in the house and live in an old house built in the 30′s. Needless to say between all of those things I have more dust than usual, cat and dog hair as well. I would love not to have to vacuum every other day for my allergies.

They have been around along time and they are suppost to be the greatest vacuum starting from Hotels to homes. It would be great to own one of these since they are to be a grat vacuum.
I’d love to have my own Oreck for many reasons! It’s lightweight, but it’s hard lugging the heavy vacuum I own around now, especially trying to use it on stairs or lifting it to go over carpet fringes. It uses the HEPA filtration system to trap allergens, and my son and I both suffer with allergies inside the house now. You need to dust less often if you have an Oreack, so that would be a time-saver. It saves energy. AND the Oreck is known to be a great quality vacuum – while I’ve owned 4 problem vacuums in the past 5 years (one caught on fire while I was using it!)

I have been wanting an Oreck vacuum for the longest time. I know they are very lightweight and with my bad back this would be such a help to me. I know they work better than just about any other vacuum on the market and are so much better at keeping allergies at bay by getting rid of dust and allergens. Oreck, What can I say the name speaks for itself. My mom has one and I have always wanted one to the lightness of the vacuum. Being disabled this would really help with me to vacuum. Moms turns at the right angle and easy to use. Right now I have an electrolux and cannot lift it to clean. If I had this great vacuum I would be able to run it again. When you cannot do much at home due to your health it really puts you in a deep depression. I think this vacuum would be one good way on the start to recovery.

I’d love an Oreck vacuum because they are light weight & powerful! We donated our older, larger, more powerful vacuum when we moved & kept a small petite one, big mistake. I haven’t vacuumed the carpet properly since we’ve moved in. The hair is piling up from the cats & dogs.

Oreck is supposed to be the lightest most powerful vacuum on the market and I have very bad arthritis and shortly have to have both my knees replaced and my present vacuum is very good but extremely heavy and hard for me to manage so one of these would make my life a lot easier.

I am shopping for a vacuum to replace my very heavy Hoover. My arthritis has progressed to a point where I cannot handle it anymore. The Oreck only weighs 9 pounds!!! 2 dogs, 2 cats are shedding, and it’s spring. The trees are shedding their messy seed “treatments” and the animals bring everything in stuck to their fur kindly depositing same all over the house. I need a new – GOOD vacuum that is kind to me as an “old timer”.
