I love that it speaks to you.. we really need something like this for our upcoming trips to Florida & Oklahoma (we have infants and have to take them to see the family of course!).

Congratulations Lulu!!

motorola-logo“For those who can’t live without a personal navigation system and their mobile phone when on the go, the advanced MOTONAV TN30 enhances all the great features of a standard GPS with added bonuses. MOTONAV TN30 is an ultra-durable Bluetooth® enabled, portable GPS navigation system that combines the confidence of finding destinations with a speaker for hands-free cell phone connectivity on the road.” – Motorola.com

The MotoNav TN30 is the newest portable GPS navigation system from Motorola. It features a 4.3 inch touchscreen color display, over four million pre-loaded points of interest including maps of the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico and it also includes a built-in hands-free blue tooth system with caller ID.

Never miss a turn again with easy-to-follow text-to-voice directions and with the “Lane Guidance” feature, you will be instructed on which lane to use ahead of time, no last minute sharp turns or lane changing (which I’m famous for!). With the preloaded points of interest, you can locate millions of local restaurants, gas stations, hotels, etc. all via the shortest and fastest route.

tn30_rs3

Another feature I enjoyed was the simple “touch & drag” map, which allows the driver to “drag” the map to see what’s ahead. With my current GPS system, in order to look ahead, we had to press an arrow to skip screens and do the same to get back to the current screen, which can be hard when you’re driving, especially at highway speeds. (or “omg I can’t be late for another meeting!” speeds)

MotoNav TN30 Features:

  • Bluetooth hands-free calling and Caller ID (Automatically “quiets” directions when “in-call”)
  • Hear spoken street names and turn-by-turn directions
  • Search restaurants, gas stations, banks and more
  • Lane guidance shows which lanes to use
  • Anti-glare 4.3-inch touch screen
  • Preloaded maps of the 50 U.S. states, Puerto Rico and Canada
  • Automatic day/night mode adjustment
  • 2D and 3D map perspectives
  • Zoom and move maps with a finger
  • Millions of searchable points of interest
  • Shows speed limit display and warning (another useful feature!)
  • SD card slot for updated maps (additional maps are sold separately)
  • USB port for charging
  • No activation or monthly service fees

No activation or monthly service fees!! :)

  29. Kristen N. Campbell says:

I love the feature about hearing spoken street names and turn by turn directions because I have a GPS now that doesn’t do that I am always ending up in the wrong direction.

  38. amy warren says:

i like that it can search for restaurants for you. very handy! i would give it to myself for mothers day!

  39. ELSIE says:

The feature that I like the best is the Lane guidance aspect which shows you which lane to use – very useful in unfamiliar territory. Thanks for this chance. I would be giving this to my son, who is about to take a cross country trip to go to school in the fall. It would be a ‘Reverse Mother’s Day Gift’ because it would make this mother (me!) feel so much more happy/comforted that my son is safer. Thanks for this chance.

    I like the 2D & 3D map views.

  43. J Chaborek says:

It’s great that it says the street name – so many streets seem to be missing signs around here, or they are sadly hidden. Who knows where my boyfriend & I would end up! We’d be using the GPS in our car.

  44. Mollie G. says:

My husband is better than I am at keeping a mental image of just where we are, and which direction we are heading. I like the lane guidance feature, to let me know what I’m about to need to do. 55. My husband would be using the GPS in his truck. I would really like the bluetooth hands free calling and the Caller ID. We plan to go to Mt. Rushmore and this would be great to use on our trip. It would be great to use so we won’t get lost.

  56. Jesselyn says:

I love that there are no activiation or monthly service charges. Yay!

Also the spoken directions and where to turn I always feel like I’m creating a hazard driving slowly and constantly looking for (and trying to read street signs – yet I still often miss the streets!) This would be for my husband – who does most of the driving – but I’ll use it too – especially at night as my night vision is terrible!)

Thanks for the entry!

  76. MELINDA Smith says:

If I won this my husband would be the one to use it most,as he likes to be the driver.

  77. Kathy S says:

Love that there is a speaker and a voice that tells me the directions (unlike my DH who will yell at me if I get lost!) At least this would just TALK to me…without raising its voice!) I do get lost a lot (missing exits, going the wrong way in a strange town, etc.), so I could really use this!

  88. prplrush says:

  299. Kelly Jones says:

actually i like all the features but i’d have to say my fav would be the hearing spoken street names and turn by turn directions. that’s because our navigation system has been and always will be myself; unless my hubby goes out and buys one of those systems or we win one.

i’m the official atlas/map reader and i’m here to tell you that atlas’s don’t have all the details and street names of everything like a navigation system would.

needless to say we get lost alot, we have to make alot of u-turns because we don’t know which way we need to go. our road trips always end up in arguments because i end up getting blamed for not telling him correctly. well, how can i tell him correctly when i don’t even know myself from the map. they show you the main roads, that’s it.

frankly, this instrument would save alot of arguing, wasted travel time, stress and headaches.

thanks and have a great day.

Lane guidance is a great feature. One of my pet peeves is knowing I need to make a turn – but from which side of the street and what lane? I would keep this for myself!

  569. Danielle says:

I love the speed limit thing. For some reason around here speed limits are not posted or hard to see and I have had many close calls. And I would be using it for myself (I get lost in a paper bag…) to get my mom to and from basically everywhere. I love her to death but she should NOT be on the road.

  570. Sharon A says:

I like the lane selection feature and the fact that there are no monthly fees involved. I will be using this since my auto isn’t equipped with GPS.

All the features are great, but since my husband travels a lot and would be the main person using it, I like the speed limit warning. He has a tendency to have a “heavy foot”. Thanks for the chance to win!

  586. Brigitte Walsh says:

I think the coolest feature is that you can hear spoken street names and turn by turn directions. I like this feature because my hubby and son would be using it the most when delivering pizzas (their “extra money” jobs) and being able to hear street names and directions would be much safer than having to constantly check the monitor for directions. This would be so awesome for them!

What I like about the MotoNav tn30 system is the spoken street names and turn by turn directions and the preloaded maps is a plus to I do a lot of travling to deliver puppies and this system would be great,no more pulling off and checking the map, getting out the flash light to see the map cause with the automatic day and night mode and the zoom I wouldn`t need too.

  632. Alice Hansen says:

The feature I like the best is the spoken street names and turn by turn directions. Often you just dont have the luxury of being able to take your eyes off the road safely to look at the navigation unit. Hearing the directions is a great asset. The unit would definately be for me. My friend says I have the sense of direction of a lemming!

The Motonav would go to me – my family never listens to me when I give them directions (although, as all Moms are, I’m always right!) so I’d have it to prove to them how right I am. :)

I think it’s awesome that it has bluetooth to connect to my phone!
