Perfect timing! I received the duffle bag from Land’s End two nights before Thanksgiving, which worked out great because as usual I always wait until the last minute to pack. My husband had to work the Wednesday before Thanksgiving so it was up to me to pack all of our stuff and load it into my car. Usually I wind up with three or four smaller tote bags with clothes hanging out, shoes falling, and coloring books getting bent up, but not this trip. I easily fit three outfits for each my husband, myself and my daughter with lots of extra room left for the typical toddler takealongs. There is even a neat compartment under the main space to keep shoes and other items separate.
Normally, loading up my car is a hassle when I’m alone with my daughter, between going up and down the stairs with my daughter in my arms, it could get very time consuming to lug lots of luggage out of the house and into the car. I have larger luggage which is near impossible for me to drag down the stairs alone and like I mentioned before, when I use numerous smaller totes you can imagine how many trips that takes! For this trip all I had was the Land’s End Wheeled Duffle Bag and one diaper bag, one trip down and I was done! The duffle bag was easily maneuverable and compact enough for my daughter to help me roll it down the driveway. Getting it in the car was a breeze as well. My trunk was already full with the pack n’ play , stroller and trays of food for Thanksgiving so I had to toss the duffle bag in my back seat. It fit nicely behind the passengers seat, in front of my daughters car seat, leaving lots of room for all the purchases I was planning on bringing home with me after Black Friday!
Another great feature that makes it more convenient than standard luggage is that once you fold down the interior walls, it easily folds up and fits anywhere for storage. So for now, The Lighthouse Duffle Bag is neatly packed on the top shelf of my closet just waiting for our next trip.
