I honestly had no idea that Kelty had a line for kids that includes strollers, child carriers and accessories. In fact, I hadn’t even heard about the Kelty brand until I was fortunate enough to do a review on the Kelty Eclipse Double Wide Sleeping Bag and read one of our mommy reviewers review on the Kelty Transit Child Carrier.
From my experience Kelty has products that are nothing but the best quality and are very functional. So, after testing out the sleeping bag and reading how great the child carrier was, I was excited to try out the Kelty Speedster Jogging Stroller (Retails for $299.95). I was a runner before I got pregnant and I really can’t wait until this winter weather passes so I can start jogging again. This month here in Illinois we’ve had some very strange weather. Last week we got a few inches of snow and this week it’s in the 50′s and beautiful outside, so I did actually have a chance to try out the stroller as my little girl and I went for a short jog while my husband and her little brother stayed home and took a nap together (seems to be their favorite thing to do!).
My experience with the stroller was great. Putting the stroller together was extremely easy (you know how I hate those complicated products that involve a lot of construction!) and it was very durable. The handles are adjustable which is great because my husband is a bit taller than I am so he can adjust them higher if he needs to. While we were jogging I noticed it was very easy to maneuver around the curbs and corners. The route I normally take has an alley so I wasn’t sure how well the stroller would handle the rock and gravel surface so when we got to it I started walking just in case. It was a little bumpy of course but the stroller handled it very well and the tires held up great (unlike our current stroller). There is a little peep hole on the top of the stroller so you can check in on your little one, when I looked at K. she was enjoying the ride and would laugh every time we hit a bump. She seemed to like the feel of the fabric too because she kept running her hand back and forth over it.
With twins, I’m all about how much storage a product has and how easily it can be put away. There is storage space under the seat, a smaller storage space on the back of the seat and a holder for your drink . The Speedster also folds up easily for quick storage when it’s not in use which is great because I can just stick it under a bed or put in the closest this winter.
All in all this is a really great stroller. I wish I would have checked more into strollers before we purchased our current stroller (Graco brand). After just a few months the stroller we have is showing it’s wear and tear. The wheels are what I complain about most. Had I known about the Kelty Speedster, I definitely would have purchased it instead.

I like the Duece Weather Shield, and I like it for two very huge reasons:
One, it allows you to reach in and attend to the baby without disasembling it. And two, it allows you to finish up your outside exercise routine if it is sprinkling. I jog on a nature trail and at the first sign of rain clouds I always have to turn back and go home. This would be a great solution for such times.

I really like the carport deluxe because sometimes a tailgate just doesn’t give you enough room at the back of a vehicle, especially if you have kids around, so the carport set up on the side of the car along with the tailgate up would give lots of protection from the elements and lots of functional space.

I LOVE the trail based carrier FC 3.0! I’m still hoping to get one from our baby registry. We adopted a beautiful baby girl in November only to find out that we too were expecting come July. We have been doubly blessed and know that a jogging stroller could help immensely!! Kelty has always had a strong line and I’m thrilled to learn they have more to offer mom’s and kids! Thanks!!

I like the All-Tote. Now I wouldn’t use it as a purse (one of their suggestions), but the grocery bag use is great. How many totes do you know of that have a lidded top. You could leave it unzipped if you needed to. I think it’s great because if it were a windy day and you were walking home pushing a stroller from the grocery store with a few odds and ends needed for dinner, well you wouldn’t have to worry about anything blowing out of the tote if the lidded top was zippered. The specs and dimensions read like they are pretty sturdy. Wish I would have known about them last year, seems they had a monthly contest back in 2008, with nice prizes, like the one they are sponsoring here at momfuse now. I really liked the Urchin Junior Backpack. The color is beautiful, and it appears to be very sturdy and long lasting. I think my toddler would love a backpack!
I would love to own the Basecamp Kitchen because when we camp it seems like we’re either struggling to find space to prepare and make food or we’re making our own tables. This would be perfect! In fact, I’m going to add it to our wedding registry!

A friend of mine has a Kelty jogging stroller and I’m so jealous! That thing rides so smoothly and allows her to get some cardio in while taking the baby out for a walk.
Other than the jogger, I’d love to try the FC 2.0 Frame carrier. It’s super deluxe!

The stroller has to be my favorite though! my current jogging stroller hasn’t held up well and it doesn’t do a good job of keeping the sun off the kids. This one looks like it has a much better canopy!

I love the Convertable Child Carrier that easily convert from a carrier to a stroller.
The FC 3.0 Frame Child Carrier would also be great.
The Wallaby child carrier looks great! It looks like something I’d be able to maneuver in easily while carrying baby.
I like the TC 2.1 because it has a zip-off diaper bag. And it holds up to 40 lbs.
I am in love with the Frame Child Carrier 3.0 ~ the protective shade, changing pad, and 50 pound weight limit were features that caught my attention.
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Kelty made camping products. I am totally eyeballing the Green river and also the Shiro tents, and the Carport tent for our next family camping adventure! Thanks for the review and entry!

I like the convertible. I really like when companies make dual purpose products. This would be perfect for when the smooth trails become too bumpy. Great product!

I have always loved the backpack baby carriers (especially the TC3). I love to go hiking and hope to take our baby on the hikes as often as possible when she comes. Of course the stroller would work perfect for neighborhood walks too!
