What people are saying about First Juice:
I love First Juice for many reasons.
First it was started by a dad who was tired of giving his kids the sugary juices that I was giving my kids. What’s with dads and sugary juices? They’re way ahead of us on this one.
Second, the juice tastes good. It really does. It doesn’t have that sugary sting of Kool-Aid and a lot of other juices out there and it doesn’t have that annoying juice aftertaste.
Third, it provides 60% of the Daily Value (DV) of Vitamin C, 35% DV of Vitamin A and 10% DV for Calcium and Vitamin D in an 8 oz. serving.
Fourth, it’s healthy and organic. What mom is not behind that concept? Please.
Fifth, not only does the juice come in a 32-oz pour bottle that is BPA and phthalate-free and recyclable but it also comes in an 8 oz. bottle with a spill-proof sippy top for grab and go convenience. And it’s dishwasher safe so you can use the little bottles again and again.

As parents, it is our responsibility to feed our kids the “good stuff”, right? That’s why I love companies like First Juice that go the extra mile to make healthy choices more accessible. All four of the organic First Juice blends – Apple + Carrot, Banana + Carrot, and now Blueberry + Purple Carrot and Peach + Purple Carrot, contain only 12 grams of sugar per 8 oz. serving, 60% of the daily value for vitamin C, 35% DV for vitamin A and 10% DV for calcium and vitamin D. First Juice also uses only natural and organic fruits and vegetables blended with purified water, for a healthier, less sugary taste.
On top of being health conscious – First Juice is also making a difference in the way we treat our environment by providing bottles that are recyclable, BPA-free and Phthalate-free, and they are also reusable, reducing waste. The First Juice bottles are actually one of my favorite things about the company, they are non-spill, in a “sippy-cup” type of container. First Juice was in fact my daughter first juice, even when she was about 11 months old, the bottles were easy for her to hold, easy to carry along in the diaper bag and I didn’t worry about her getting too many wasted calories from juice alone.

I had a chance to try two different flavors of First Juice: Apple + Carrot and Banana + Carrot. I tried them out myself and I could immediately tell that these would be perfect for little taste buds. They have a very mild flavor and are not too sweet. Even though they have added carrot juice, you cannot even taste it. It just tastes like banana or apple. What a perfect way to get a bit more vegetables into your child’s diet. Overall, I liked First Juice and I loved the idea behind it! I think it is a great alternative to traditional sugar packed juices.

I had no idea that there used to be purple carrots! It is VERY interesting that in the 16th century a Dutch scientist decided to create an orange carrot in order to make a royal vegetable. I wonder if there will be red, white and blue tomatoes in our future?!? Fun trivia! Thanks for the giveaway. I would love to start my 5 month old off on the right foot when I introduce juice to her and these sound like the perfect juice for her!

The orange carrot we know now is a result of crossbreeding other carrots. I never knew there were other colors!

I learned a scientist changed carrots to be orange.
First Juice® brand beverage has 12 grams of sugar per 8 fl. oz. serving, compared to 27 grams of sugar for an equal serving of 100% apple juice. That’s 50% less sugar than the leading 100% apple juice. Not to mention it’s organic–nothing artificial, ever.
i told both my sister and husband about this… they wanted to know if it was really true. very cool.

#1, I didn’t know that the orange carrot was the result of a crossbreed, and as a historical tidbit, it was interesting to learn that the color was chosen because it was a Dutch scientist and it was done to honor the House of Orange.
