The Review:

Setting up the Good Nite Lite is pretty easy.. it’s basic and the comes with an instruction manual for parents like me who just need instructions to be sure everything is done correctly. I did have to rearrange a little because the Good Nite Lite took up an entire outlet, but that wasn’t too hard. It took some creativity on my part but I got the job done quickly!

The back of the night light includes the plug so you can plug it in to an outlet, a battery compartment, and an on/off switch. There is also an LCD screen, set, mode and select buttons that allow you to set the current time, bed time, and wake up time.

Now, once you have the set the times to preferences it should work like this.. when it’s the time you’ve set to wake up.. the sun part of the lite will shine..

and when it’s bedtime the moon part will glow. (It’s a really bright blue for a few minutes but then dims downs to a lesser brightness and serves as a night light for your child as well)

Another great thing about this is that during the daytime, the lite will shut off to preserve energy and you don’t have to reset it each night.

Retailing at $34.99 it may be considered little pricey but to me it’s worth it if it works with your child and everyone gets a little extra sleep at night!

They recently sent us a Bona Hardwood Floor Mop to test out and so far.. I have been using this product for over a week now and I just love it.

So why do I love this mop?

1.) It is sturdy.. it’s not flimsy like some of the other brands so if you need to put some force down on it, it’s not going to break.

2.) The spray stream really shoots out there in a wide pattern in front of the washable cleaning pad which is also a lot wider and longer than some other brands.

This is definitely the only hard surface floor mop you will ever need with cleaners for any hard floor surface you got to try one you will love it.

I also love the fact that you can use it safely around your children and pets. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who has hardwood floors.. we’ve had absolutely no problems with it whatsoever and it really gets the job done. It’s a little pricey but definitely worth the investment.. we were also happy to find out that our local hardware store carried the cleaning solution for future use.

I asked him if he’d like to write the review for me since he hasn’t backed away from it for 5 minutes since they sent us to one review… but his reply was “Well then it will take away from my play time”. haha. He really does love this thing and is now a big fan of iHome audio products.

Luckily when he went to work I had the opportunity to check it our for myself and see what the big hype was. I have to admit.. it is pretty cool and any iPod or iPhone owner would love it as well, in my opinion.

This audio system comes with the iHome iP9 itself, a remote control, an AC power adapter, and a docking insert to fit your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPod Nano. Yes, even the older iPod styles!

I think one of our favorite things about the iP9 is the speakers. At first glance I wasn’t sure how the quality of the speakers would be just because of the speaker size as well as the price of the iP9… but after hooking it up and listening to a few tracks from our iPod, I can verify that the sound quality is exceptional and clear!

My other favorite thing is the dual alarm clocks. With dual alarm clocks you can set two different times to wake up to.. so say for instance, you need to wake up at 6 a.m. for a feeding but your partner doesn’t have to be up until 7:30 a.m., no problem with the iP9! Just set the alarm times and you’re good to go! I love this because I don’t have to reset the alarm every morning… just great!

Oh, and another good thing about the alarm is that it’s not one of those blaring sounds right off the bat, you know when it first goes off.. the alarm gradually increases in sound so there is no starteling first thing in the morning.

My husband loved how easy it was to set up.. there is no adjusting the clock or anything like that.. you simply set your time zone and it sets itself automatically.

Overall this is a super great product for it’s price. I’m sure there are other brands out there that offer more needless options but those will come with a much higher price tag. The iHome iP9 retails for only $99, available in different color options, and is great for any iPhone or iPod owner. Keep this one your list for gift ideas, you won’t regret it!

Last year we did a review on the VTech Ls5145, a loaded phone with tons of great features.. it even looked pretty fancy.This year, we’ve been sent a VTech LS6217 to check out and review.

We’ve been using this new LS6217 for a little over a week and have had absolutely no problems with it. The sound is clear, no problems with static and the range on this phone is very good. We’ve been able to walk a good 50 feet or more and still use the phone with no problems.

Setup was extremely easy, literally 5 minutes or less and after you let the phone charge overnight, you’re good to go and can start enjoying your new toy. Also, a plus on this phone is that it includes a Pager button so if something happens (like for instance one of your kids takes off with the phone and you can’t find it or they don’t remember where they put it) you can hit the Page button and your handset will beep until you find the phone. I don’t know how many times our twins have found the phone laying on a table or something and have taken off with it.. then when we need it, it’s no where to be found!

I’m really loving the interchangeable designs for both the base and the handset.. if one day we feel like changing the phone up, we simply change the design and it’s like having a brand new phone which is pretty cool. The designs that come with the phone aren’t boring either.. they are fun and colorful. You can also create and print your own graphics using the free tool at www.vtechphones.com!

Even though this LS6217 is not as fancy looking as the LS5145, it is a great find for anyone. To me, this would even make a great gift for any student or teen. Not only does it look cool and funky but with the option of being able to add your own personality to the phone, it’s makes for great phone at an affordable price. (Since back-to-school season is already here.. why not make it a Christmas gift!)

The packaging is beautiful – so beautiful, that these would make adorable Wedding Shower or Wedding gifts! They’d also be perfect for a House Warming party – I know I’d love to receive them!

Their products include everyday items like super-concentrated liquid laundry soap (1/8 c for a front-loader HE washer) that arrives in an adorable bottle. Being eco-friendly, the 64oz refill is available to refill your decorative bottle. Next is Laundry Fragrance – used in the rinse cycle of your wash it softly scents your clothing. Should you need static protection, there are dryer fabric sheets with the same scent.

For the bedroom and bathroom, there’s Sheet & Clothing Spray (if you’re having trouble sleeping, try the Lavender, it’s scented with Lavender Essential Oil – my favorite is the Italian Citrus), Hand Lotion, Soap, and Sanitizer as well as a Reed Diffuser. The Reed Diffuser is perfect for scenting a room without worrying about any dangers (obviously, keep well out of the reach of children). Living with a fire fighter, I’ve learned to appreciate the safety aspects of scenting a room without a flame. He’s gone on hundreds of fires started by candles in his 30-years on the force.

For the kitchen, there’s a Floor Soap, Dish Soap, and Surface Cleaner. I especially love scented products in the kitchen. Doing the dishes or mopping the floor or so much easier when you’re loving the scent you’re working with. The Good Home Co doesn’t test their products on animal, but on “good people”. While not all of their products are completely natural or organic, they do use some made-made ingredients, I’m giving them a pass because they are cruelty-free. I’d love to see them go completely natural, but I do enjoy their products, they work well, and they smell fabulously. Oh, and I ADORE their packaging.

I had the pleasure of sampling all of the scents with the exception of the Paris Rain which is my favorite color – pink! But I did love the Beach Day which is very reminiscent of sun tan lotion. It’s one of the few “beach” scents I’ve ever enjoyed. The Pure Grass is more herby smelling and not my favorite, but I LOVED the Lavender and Italian Citrus. Both were fabulous!

I also sampled the Laundry Fragrance – I loved it, but since my washer is old and I had to add it manually at the rinse cycle, it’s too fussy for me. Heck, I can hardly remember to go down and change the wash to the dryer, so this is one step I knew I’d never get around to. Great idea for those with more sophisticated washers and a rinse cycle dispenser. LOVED the scent on the one load that I did try. I also tried out several small samples of the body lotion – it’s creamy, is absorbed quickly,and leaves a pleasant scent behind. My favorite product by far was the Sheet & Clothing Spray. Maybe it’s because I’m been home in bed for three days, but the spray really lifted my spirits. I’m using the Italian Citrus (which is discontinued! Argh! Limited quantities are left – go figure).

Did you know that carpet can contain as many as 100,000 dust mites per square yard? Scary huh? I didn’t know this until we spoke with an allergist, who suggested that we rip our carpets and convert to all hard wood floors. We have a few rooms that are hardwood floors but I like our carpet and I know the twins enjoy playing and crawling on the warm carpeted floors.

Safety Features -  The Oreck Halo has built-in safety features to ensure that proper use will not cause any harm to people or pets:

• A trigger on the handle must be depressed for the UV-C light to activate. If you let go of the trigger, the vacuum will still function but the UV-C light will not activate.
• The hatch on the patented light chamber must be tightly closed. If anything should loosen, the UV-C light automatically turns off.
• All four wheels must remain flat on the ground. If one of the wheels loses contact with the ground, the UV-C light automatically turns off.
