The 4GB unit holds up to 1,000 songs, which is more than plenty for me.. so it’s really cool for those who love to carry their music around with them. If you happen to run out of room, the Sansa Clip+ does have a microSD card slot so you can add even more memory to the player. The new microSD card slot also enables people to play slotMusic and slotRadio cards, which is an effortless option for those who want the ease of listening to variety of music with no downloading – just insert the pre-loaded card and start rockin’ out instantly.

It’s a little smaller than I had expected but that doesn’t affect it or it’s features in any way! It’s small enough it can fit in your pocket, purse or diaper bag without any trouble!  There is a clip for hands-free portability so this MP3 player is easy to take with you anywhere. The battery life is great. I left the player running for several hours and the battery never went dead.. battery life is around 15 hours, according to SanDisk, so whether you’re traveling or running around all day, you’ll be able to listen to your favorite tunes!

With the Sansa Clip+ MP3 player you can download your own songs or purchase preloaded music cards, it also has a digital FM tuner and voice recording.

Getting the music from your computer to your new player is extremely easy. The Sansa Clip+ is compatible with Windows and Mac computers and doesn’t require any software to set up or to load music on it. All you do is plug the included USB cable to your computer and the Sansa Clip+ will show up like a regular flash drive. Once your computer has recognized the new device, you can start adding your music by dragging and dropping the audio files to the appropriate folders. You can also copy music to a microSD card and plug it into the Sansa Clip+.

Now the only turnoff I had was that if you have a lot of songs downloaded to your Sansa Clip+, trying to find one particular song can be time consuming because you have to scroll down to the song. With the screen being so small it may take a while to find.

The Senseo Coffee Machine is extremely easy to use.. you simply flip open the top of the machine, slip in a pod and close and you’re now ready to start making one or two cups of coffee.  The water tank holds enough water to make several cups of coffee before refilling which is great, I do wish it was a little bigger but that wouldn’t be enough to stop me from recommending it. We loved that you can brew 1 or 2 cups at a time unlike other single-serve machines out there; perfect for when you have company over.

The brewing process produces a nice foamy layer on top the coffee for a nice touch and the coffee was delicious. The machine was a little loud when brewing the coffee but not overpowering loud.

Overall, the Senseo Machine is a nice addition to your kitchen if you want the ease of making a single cup of coffee. The price is affordable and it’s great for parties, especially because of the fact that you’re able to offer your guests a variety of flavors. But if you want a very good single cup brewer with better tasting coffee (along with many more flavor varieties) and are willing to spend more, I would go with a Keurig machine.

The iHome iH15 features 4 speakers, one on each side of the station. Your iPod sits on top of the stations in the iPod slot. It’s a fairly simplistic machine but still very fun because of the color changing feature. You can choose your own color for the speaker system or you can have it cycle through all seven of the rainbow colored options. The sound quality was much like we experienced with other iHome products.. very good.

It would be very cool if a new version of the iH15 came out soon with maybe some added features like a clock or remote control.. but this version is still very cool!

The iHome iH15 retails for only $59  and is nifty for any iPod owner. Keep this one your list for gift ideas for the kiddos, you won’t regret it!

He was quite impressed with the headphones. I checked them out as well to see how the comfort level and sound was. We both wore them for a good few hours and had no problems with them being uncomfortable. The sound was good and my husband loved that the headphones were more bass-heavy than others he’s tried. As for my personal preference, I’m not interested in listening to anything with a heavy bass.. so that was one thing I didn’t care for.

The headphones are very sleek and stylish.. they seem to also be pretty durable. There’s a thick cloth cable to keep it supported. There’s also a few different sizes for the ear so it’s pretty much a good fit for anyone.. even if you have big ears. Clips are also included to be sure you have a secure snug fit.

Unfortunately I’ve never tried a different product from V-moda, so I can’t compare the differences or similarities. My husband seemed to enjoy them so maybe he’ll get a black pair under the tree this year.

With the HEXBUG Inchworm you can travel straight forward, forward left and right, straight backward, backward left and right and can stop in place. HEXBUG Inchworm can even pirouette in place when stopped on its center pod foot. Two button cell batteries are included in each Inchworm and each remote.

Our twins are a little young for this yet, but they really got a kick out of my husband playing around with the little HEXBUG.  They would laugh every time it moved and then proceed to chase it around the table with their arms streched and their hands ready to grab on to it the instance they could manage to get a hold of it. It moves fairly slow, so this didn’t take long at all.

We also took it to a friends house where they had older kids (their youngest is 7) and he was thrilled with it at first but then became a little bored with it. A few hours later he came back to the HEXBUG and was chasing his sisters around the house and him and his brother then tried to set up ramps to see if it would jump them. (boys boys boys!). They boys were also quite interested in how the Inchworm worked and was put together, so this would also be a great way to teach your children the basics of robotics.

For only $20 this is a great toy for the younger kids and would make a great stocking stuffer! Try it out with your infant (with you manning the controls) and see what a kick they get out of it! It was cute to watch and the twins really did enjoy it but then got very upset when we wouldn’t hand over the controller or let them play with the HEXBUG itself.

I thought this would be the perfect gift this year for my husband’s grandmother. She loves carrying pictures around of the twins and often has a hard time choosing which ones to carry because she has limited space to carry them. With the 2.8 Foci Pocket Album she would able to carry as many pictures as she wanted, run an automatic photo slide show when she wanted and because the Foci is smaller and fairly light weight, she’d be able to carry it her purse easily.

After trying the Foci 2.8 myself, I think it’s a great product. The item itself is a little small which means the images shown are small.. but their big enough for just about anyone to see.

What we like:

• Image quality is outstanding, even for action shots and angles and it doesn’t matter what kind of lighting your in
• Affordable – retails for only $64.00
• Built in clock with a calendar function
• Holds a good amount of photos – 4,000
• View your images in full screen or thumbnails
• Automatic slideshow (with random option)

What we don’t like:

My only major complaint is that in order to add images to the pocket album, you must use the software. There is no USB port or memory card slot for easy transfer of photos from camera to pocket album. You also cannot simply drag and drop photos using the Photo Manager Software.

The software is fairly easy to use, but if you’re looking to transfer a good number of images, it might take you a while because you have to first transfer them to the browser window  to the collection panel one by one, no transferring multiple images at the same time.

I also had a problem with just a few photos, I don’t know if they were the correct ratio or what the problem was, but some of the images were getting cut off.

Overall:

It’s good for the price. Hopefully with their next pocket album, for this price, they’ll make the software a little less time consuming to use as include a memory card slot.

So what does the  BlackBerry Visor Mount Speakerphone do anyway? Check this out.. it wirelessly streams calls from any Bluetooth enabled phone through your car’s stereo system. Now you can enjoy your calls and your favorite music from your BlackBerry® smartphone (or Bluetooth enabled cell hone) with the convenience and sound quality of your car’s FM stereo system. And because it supports voice activated dialing, caller ID, and verbal notifications to let you know who’s calling, you can stay in touch while keeping your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.

If you think it’s complicated.. think again. The visor mount attaches to your car visor and is very easy to set up – just turn it on (press and hold the main power button until it tells you it’s on) and then press the button to pair it with your cell phone. The first time we turned the device on it automatically went in to pairing mode and we were able to search for it with our Bluetooth enabled cell phone. Once we paired it, we entered the usual 0000 passkey (pretty standard passkey for the Bluetooth headsets). After the phone and the visor mount paired successfully, there was a voice telling us it was paired.

Making a phone call is easy, just press the main button (large black button on the front) once and the voice activated system will prompt you for your instructions. *Be careful not to hold the main button for too long or the device will turn off. Disconnecting is easy to, just press the main button again and you’re done. To answer a call, press the main button once and you’re connected with other person.

I was pretty surprised by the clarity of the calls (making and receiving). I expected at least a little bit of static but it was extremely clear. We use our speakerphones a lot when we’re driving because it’s just easier for us to set the phone somewhere and talk.. the  BlackBerry Visor Mount Speakerphone actually had better quality that our Verizon cell phone speakerphone.

We didn’t have as much good luck with FM transmitter. The calls didn’t sound as good over FM radio as they did over our built-in speaker. The cool thing about the FM transmitter though, is that if you’re listening to the radio and a call comes in.. the radio stops and you hear the caller through the radio.

Improvements that we think would make the BlackBerry Visor Mount Speakerphone better:

• increase the volume of the speaker phone
• it would be nice if the name of the person called was said out loud, instead of the number

So when we were sent a few products from Contigo to review I couldn’t wait to see what my husband thought.. he uses these type of products more than anyone I know.. so I figured I’d see if it gained his approval.

The Contigo line is a spill-proof, leak-proof line of travel mugs, hydration bottles and kids mugs that contains a special autoseal feature which will allow you to drop it, shake it, etc.. and you’re liquid will stay put instead of going all over the place. My first thought was that if these were true to their word and didn’t leak or spill.. I had to get more of these.. and I hoped they would have sippy cups or cups with lids for small children (like mine!) available or available soon!

I am quite impressed with the travel mug and kids cup that I received.. the autoseal feature was a lifesaver on our shopping trip. We have to travel a good 40 plus miles to get to a decent mall and my husband of course had to take coffee with him.. so we took the opportunity to try out new travel mug we received.

The mug is sleek, it’s a stainless steel travel mug that just looks good. The blue button (on the image above) is a magical button! When you’re ready to take a drink, just press the button and take a sip. Once the button is released, the autoseal feature kicks in and you don’t have to worry about any spills. This particular mugs holds up to 16 oz. and fits most standard car cupholders. My husband loves this travel mug.. he said his favorite thing about the mug was that kept his coffee hot for hours without the outside of the mug being too hot to handle.. and he loves that it doesn’t spill, no matter how many different ways you drop it.

Now I know a lot of products claim to be leak-proof and spill-proof and most of the time do leak.. but I can promise you that these Contigo products really work. I don’t know how many times we dropped the mug – or my kids got a hold of it and dropped it- but we never once had a spill.. not a drop liquid came out of the mug.

The kids mug is recommended for ages 4 and up. The autoseal technology works the same, press to sip, release to seal. It’s the perfect size.. not too big but not too small and it easily fits into a kids hand. The design is also very sleek and the blue and green colors make the mug fun.

The mugs come in a variety of different colors, they are durable and well made and look very sleek. This is a must-have for traveling whether you’re by yourself or with the family.

I asked him if he’d like to write the review for me since he hasn’t backed away from it for 5 minutes since they sent us to one review… but his reply was “Well then it will take away from my play time”. haha. He really does love this thing and is now a big fan of iHome audio products.

Luckily when he went to work I had the opportunity to check it our for myself and see what the big hype was. I have to admit.. it is pretty cool and any iPod or iPhone owner would love it as well, in my opinion.

This audio system comes with the iHome iP9 itself, a remote control, an AC power adapter, and a docking insert to fit your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPod Nano. Yes, even the older iPod styles!

I think one of our favorite things about the iP9 is the speakers. At first glance I wasn’t sure how the quality of the speakers would be just because of the speaker size as well as the price of the iP9… but after hooking it up and listening to a few tracks from our iPod, I can verify that the sound quality is exceptional and clear!

My other favorite thing is the dual alarm clocks. With dual alarm clocks you can set two different times to wake up to.. so say for instance, you need to wake up at 6 a.m. for a feeding but your partner doesn’t have to be up until 7:30 a.m., no problem with the iP9! Just set the alarm times and you’re good to go! I love this because I don’t have to reset the alarm every morning… just great!

Oh, and another good thing about the alarm is that it’s not one of those blaring sounds right off the bat, you know when it first goes off.. the alarm gradually increases in sound so there is no starteling first thing in the morning.

My husband loved how easy it was to set up.. there is no adjusting the clock or anything like that.. you simply set your time zone and it sets itself automatically.

Overall this is a super great product for it’s price. I’m sure there are other brands out there that offer more needless options but those will come with a much higher price tag. The iHome iP9 retails for only $99, available in different color options, and is great for any iPhone or iPod owner. Keep this one your list for gift ideas, you won’t regret it!
