Just in time for the upcoming travel season, BabyBjorn was kind enough to send us over a BabyBjorn Travel Crib to check out and review, as well as offer our wonderful readers a very nifty giveaway where 5 lucky readers will win their very own Travel Crib Lite!
The Review:
Ok, now this is cool. Right now we have a bassinet that doesn’t fold up real easy for travel.. it’s heavy and hard to break down and set up… it’s not even worth the hassle of taking it anywhere with us.. so we don’t and end up regretting not taking it.
To put this travel crib to the test we took a short trip to a friend’s house for dinner. The twins always get tired before we’re ready to leave and always want to lay down and go to sleep.. it’s also easier for us to visit sometimes when the twins are able to just sit in one area and play together with their toys.
The BabyBjorn Travel crib weighs less than 11 lbs and is so simple to set up and take down it’s ridiculous! It literally took us maybe a minute to set up, if that.. same for taking it down. It’s so simple and lightweight, it’s definitely the perfect traveling companion for the upcoming holidays.. and we’ll definitely be taking it with us on our holiday adventures.
The Travel Crib Lite includes a travel bag, a mattress and a mattress pad.. the fabric is soft and both the mattress cover and the bed fabric can be machine-washed which is a definite plus for us because our current “travel bassinet” cannot be washed so it’s a pain clean. Another cool thing about the Baby Bjorn Travel Crib is that it will last you until your child is about 3.
You may cringe at the price, but if you like to travel and love to take your little one(s) with you.. this is a must have.. it’s definitely worth the price to me. Also, the mattress cover and all fabric parts that come into contact with your child have been approved in accordance with the Oeko-Tex Standard 100, class 1 so you know it’s safe for your baby.
