With the holidays soon approaching the shopping frenzy begins. Some people are extremely easy to buy for while others are not so easy. We have a few family members this year that we’re stuck on.. we have no idea what we will get them. I told my husband that money is probably the best option, but we’re not too hip on just sticking money in a card and sending it out for the holidays.. we’d like to be somewhat more personal so we’ll probably go with some prepaid credit cards.
Why prepaid credit cards? Well, they’re like real debit/credit cards that can be used anywhere major credit cards are accepted and since they are prepaid, they don’t affect your credit in any way whether you’re the one to purchase the cards or use them. They’re convenient and can be used for whatever the receiver would like to spend the money on.
To us, they can be the perfect gift for anyone. We don’t have to worry about picking out a gift that wouldn’t be liked or not used.
There are a few different ways to go about it. I came across Vision Prepaid recently and they offer prepaid credit cards with no activation fees, no weekly fees and more which is great. You really have to look into the prepaid credit card first though to see the details because some companies charge you for using the card, activating the card, and more.
