We had the great opportunity to check out some of the new games from Learning Resources; the Number Knockout Electronic Math Game and the Funny Phone Early Listening Game.
Funny Phone Early Listening Game
This funny phone is one of my favorite toys so far because it’s so much fun to play. Recommended for ages 4 and up the Funny Phone offers over 300 individual and group challenges. Challenges include tongue twisters, rhyming, singing, drawing, acting and 
more and with so much to do.. you’re children will never get tired of playing.. and laughing!
Players dial in, hear the silly challenge and try to get it right.. Once you’ve won, children can dial a secret phone number to hear a victory message!
The game also features automatic shut-off, adjustable volume for both speaker and handset, and break-away safety cord.
Number Knockout Electronic Math Game
This nifty little game is recommended for children ages 7 to 12 and challenges players with either head-to-head play for the heavyweight math title or solo play; add or subtract until you score a knockout. Once players are “ready to rumble” the game features some cool voice animations – an announcer’s voice, a starting bell and a roaring crown to set the mood.
An electronic dice roll gives you a target number, and kids race to add or subtract the light-up numbers (1-9) at their station. Once you’ve used all the numbers, you’ve scored a knockout!
It’s a fun game to help with learning.. the game really encourages children and celebrates successes, if the player’s answer is incorrect it redirects the players and offers them another chance to get it right.
And, for us parents, the game features a volume control and an automatic shut-off!
