Swiffer WetJet Review

October 5, 2009

Picture-6-239x300Recently we had the opportunity to take the Swiffer Challenge..  now I had never heard of this before I received a very large case in the mail from MyBlogSpark.

If the case itself wasn’t cool enough.. you should have seen what was inside! A Swiffer WetJet of course but they put together the whole thing in such a cool way.. when you open the case a man comes on giving you your mission details.. should you choose to accept it! I chuckled and thought it was pretty nifty so I showed it off to my husband who was also in amazement.

Small-Wet-Jet-Kit

Picture-5-300x224Fearing the jelly would be a pain to clean up (I really didn’t want to get down and spent half the day scrubbing the floors I I tested our floors jelly provided in the kit. Thankfully, the jelly was super easy to clean up and left no mess!

To fully test the Swiffer WetJet out.. I fed the children spaghetti! Spaghetti meals mean huge messes for me as a mom and most of the time a lot of ends up on the floor and everywhere but our children’s mouths so I thought it would really put the Swiffer to the test.

The WetJet made our cleanup an extremely simple process.. it worked wonders on our kitchen floor and I would recommend it for any household with children.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to My Blog Spark for introducing us to the Swiffer WetJet!

  1. That case does sound pretty awesome! Ive always wanted to try the swiffer wetjet.

  2. I have the old Swiffer where you put a sheet that has the cleaner on it onto the pad at the bottom of the handle. It cleans well, but it’s a mess to put together and I have to change the sheet 2 or 3 times to clean my floors. Does the bottle on this one give a continuous, even flow of cleaner? and what is on the bottom…is it a sheet like the old one or is it more of a spongy cleaning pad? Thanks!

  3. Hey Cindy,

Ugh.. I know how you feel.. I hated the old Swiffer because I had the same problem. Assembly on the new one is pretty easy.. just attach the handle, insert the bottle of cleaner and then attach the pad by pressing it to the bottom of the mop head.. at first I thought it might fall off or not hold very well but it did a good job at staying on.. I was surprised. The flow of the cleaner seemed pretty even to me.

The sheet is more of a padded sheet than the other because it’s meant to absorb.. we have a fairly big kitchen and I didn’t need to change out the sheet.. I did clean the spaghetti mess up last though!

    Hope that helps!
