Cruelty Free, Vegan Bath & Body Products – Cactus & Ivy Review

Here’s what Mom Fuse “Mommy Reviewer” Jyl, from The Post-It Place, had to say about the all-natural, vegan beauty products from Cactus & Ivy

untitled90I am in the market for a new soap place. Cause well, if you read every post, you know why. I am funny about my soap. Real funny. I like it to smell good. I like it to rinse good. I like it to lather good. Not necessarily in that order, but you know what I mean. I am just funny about soap. It one of the few indulgences I treat myself to on a regular basis. It makes me fell special. I like feeling special. So, I am trying out Cactus & Ivy. Maybe they will be my new soap people!

Cactus & Ivy is a cruelty free and vegan bath and body products manufacturer. They do not test their products on animals…just their family members. Hey, what are families for?? They use the finest ingredients from specialty oils to essential oils. Their products are free of artificial flavors, colors and fragrance. They utilize oils that are high in Omega 3, Vitamin A, C, D, E & F, Oleic Acid, Palmitoleic Acid and Linoleic Acid to revitalize and restore the skins normal balance.

In 2008, Cactus & Ivy removed all animal by products from their ingredients list, which means, they no longer use honey or beeswax. Candelilla Wax has replaced the use of beeswax in all our balms, and beside being “Cruelty Free”, Candelilla Wax protects against moisture. In with being green comes organic and vegan.

I do like their soap, a lot! It lathers good, it rinses good and it smells good. It meats my requirements. I am using the Serene Face and Body Soap right now but plan to try the Calendula Sunshine Body Soap next. I like citrusy smelling soaps. And the Hydrating Face Moisture…oh my, it is very good stuff. My skin stays really dry. It is from being in the sun and the greenhouse, it just sucks the moisture right out of me. But with their face lotion it feels smooth and hydrated. It doesn’t burn or irritate like some other moisturizers do either…which is why I didn’t use anything half the time. Now, I can use it everyday in the morning and at night and know that it works and it just feels good.

I am one who loves my soap too!

I LOVE Cactus & Ivy products! Being vegan is a huge plus for me. I wanted “Dirtiest Jobs” the other day and found out the melted fat and gunk drained out of huge BBQ pits is recycled into cosmetics. No thanks! I prefer not to put pig fat, sugar, and catchup on my face. Blech!

Cactus & Ivy Nail Balm is excellent stuff too! I haven’t tried her soaps, but I need to!

    Thanks,
    Connie
