Review: Yummy Spoonfuls Organic Baby Food

January 3, 2009

This review for Yummy Spoonfuls was written by Mom Fuse “Mommy Reviewer” Amber from A Little Bit Nutty. Amber is the mom of four, including seven month old Rush, who was delighted to be the taste tester for this review. Thanks Rush!

I recently had the chance to review so Organic Baby Food from Yummy Spoonfuls.

ABOUT YUMMY SPOONFULS
Yummy Spoonfuls Baby Food is 100 % USDA Certified Organic, made from naturally good ingredients grown without chemical pesticides, nitrates, growth hormones or other unwanted extras and produced without artificial additives or processing chemicals. Our foods are not heat-treated like ALL OTHER commercial baby foods (including organic), so ours come packed full of nutrients.

Yummy Spoonfuls Baby Food is a provider of fresh organic baby foods for parents who truly want the very best for their babies. Our goal is to change the way we feed our babies and to help parents understand that better eating habits truly start with the very first spoonful. We are strong believers that “YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT”.

My Review:
As parents we all want to feed our children food that is good for them.
I love that Yummy Spoonfuls is made fresh and all organic. As a busy mom of 4 things get hectic and though I would love to make my own baby food. Time is a precious commodity in my home. Now all I have to do is order it and it gets made and shipped to my home. The food was nice and creamy and Rush just could not get enough. I’m pretty sure the sweet potatoes were his favorite. I couldn’t get the spoon in his mouth fast enough.

Yummy Spoonfuls
has 3 product lines developed for 3 different age groups

  • Stage One – 4 or 6 to 9 months – Creamy Yummy
These are tasty nutritious single item ingredients pureed to a creamy texture for baby from the start of weaning. Remember that breast milk/formula is still the main source of nutrients for your baby.
  • Stage Two – 9 to 12 months – Mushy Yummy
Here we play with the senses by mixing ingredients to create tantalizing meals for growing babies. The texture is a bit lumpy to encourage chewing.
  • Stage Three – 12 months and over – Chunky Yummy
Helps prepare toddlers for regular meals. Portion sizes are larger. Meals are chunky and come in varieties that are suitable for growing toddlers. These are extremely flavorful yummy dishes that even adults will love. They are ideally adult meals without the “junk “ (sodium, etc).

Check out why you should choose organic for your baby – Why Organic?
