Girlie Girl loves anything that has to do with princesses. She also loves books. So when, thanks to Mom Fuse, I had the opporutnity to review Princess Emily and the Secret Library by Mary Balfanz I thought this would be the perfect combination. I was right!

MY REVIEW
When Princess Emily stumbles upon a secret village of mice called Miceville, she is faced with their bleak future of demolishment. Her mom, The Queen, plans to renovate the castle which will end up destroying this tiny town. Princess Emily, together with the mice try to come up with a plan to save the town.
Girlie Girl really enjoyed this book and it’s fantasy tale. It taught her that if you concentrate and work together you can accomplish anything. The words used were perfect for her early reading skills and the story was just the right length to keep her interested. She was able to read the entire book in a relatively short time period and felt like she really accomplished something great!
I liked the illustrations by Stan Gorman. They were bright, colorful, and engaging. They were drawn in a cartoon fashion yet had a 3D quality to them. It really added to the story and brought the characters to life.
