This is definitely an item that’s worth all the hype!
The Baby Cook by Beaba is an all-in-one food preparer. It is a French-made blender, steamer, defroster and reheater all in one unit. The defrosting function is ideal if you prepare and freeze food in batches (since I have twins this is what I’ll be doing for sure!). When you have a toddler that is eating whole foods, the steamer function will come in handy. Steaming vegetables retains more vitamins than other cooking methods allowing you to make sure he gets the most out of his food.
When using the blender you want to make sure you dice up the food first so that it’s easier to blend. Then it’s as simple as pushing a button and waiting a few seconds until you get the right consistency.
When you cook, defrost or reheat food you have to add a measured amount of water and then turn the knob. There is also an activity light that lights up when it’s in use and turns off when the food is ready. This was helpful because I was comforting a teething baby and I have a tendency to get side tracked very easily, so all I had to do was watch for the light
to go off.
The Beaba Baby Cook came with an instruction booklet and baby food recipes so you have everything you need to jump in and start making the food.
You can get the Beaba Baby Cook from HipBabyGear.com. It retail for $149, which seems kind of pricey, but it’s worth it. You’ll save so much on baby food and you’ll know that your child is eating healthy food without anything artificial added to it, so it pays for itself.
HipBabyGear.com also offers a Gift Registry, so if you are expecting, be sure to put this to your wish list!
