October is Fire Prevention Month

Mom Holly Robinson-Peete is spreading the word about fire safety.

According to a new Liberty Mutual survey, 84% of parents admit they don’t frequently discuss fire safety with their children. But it’s a discussion we all need to have with our kids … because it can save lives.

To make sure your children are prepared, map out a fire escape plan and practice it again and again, both in daytime and nighttime.

Check out the Be FireSmart website for more information on helping you stay safe.
